Imagine you're 40, childless and unmarried, and sent to camps in order to rectify this within six months or you'll find yourself on the wrong end of a noose? How would that make you feel? Not too jolly I bet. This is exactly where our characters find themselves. And hopefully this'll remain fiction.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to adjust limiting beliefs, encourage your own path at any age, and inspire you to harness your pain and trauma, instead of forgetting. Remember people everywhere should always have a choice.

The Story

Are you a woman who just turned 40 and still haven’t found your perfect mate or had children yet? Then Camp Love is for you. Within 6 months you are asked to find your partner and become pregnant. Failure to do so upon the given time frame will result in your death.

There will be bi-weekly parties for you to find your match. Plenty of exercise. Therapy and medical visits. Room and board provided.

And of course, if you don’t find your mate and have children within 6 months, you will be killed.

Camp Love follows Evelyn on her first day as she is tasked with taking care of the women in Block 6. These women are unmarried, without children, and 40 years old. They have six months to find a husband and become pregnant or they will be executed. Evelyn, although only 32, feels the pressure of time to keep her own self out of this place. As she still finds herself without children. And the man we presume to be her husband barely touches her.

All is not as it may seem here in Camp Love. There’s a much more sinister reason for the camps. Experiments are being made behind closed doors. Experiments Evelyn may have had more to do with than she realizes. As the film progresses we learn that Evelyn's previous husband, none other than the head doctor of the camps is really trying to find a way for Evelyn to become pregnant. She went through three miscarriages before he went into mad scientist mode and with the help of prominent men, created these camps. A little in the same vein as Don't Worry Darling and Blink Twice, the women are forced to forget while they are experimented on in the camps. But the women keep waking up and remembering the past. How many times has Evelyn lived this? It's a cruel trick of the mind not only for her but for all of the women kept here against their will.

Evelyn - Married, no children. Not yet 40 but nearing there. Married to Gregory. But her first husband was Dr. Ashbey. And her true love is Ryan.

Dr. Ashbey - Although Evelyn is the reason for these camps and figured out a way to erase painful memories, Dr. Ashbey is the one who put it in motion. He's practices are cruel but deep down it's his love for Evelyn that fuels him. Unfortunately she has no idea who he is anymore.

Ryan - Deeply in love with Evelyn. He only goes along with everything here to try and keep her safe. He does not agree with this are government and wants women to have rights and freedom. But he's only one man so bides his time until Evelyn wakes up to what's really going on.

Jessica - 40. No children, no partner. She is condemned to Camp Love under the watch of Evelyn.

Heather, Abigail, Lucy, Bridgette - all 40+. No children, no partners. Also under the watch of Evelyn in Camp Love.

Gracey - 53. Married with children. She was the former Vice President who helped take down the previous government in creating this new one. While she doesn't necessarily agree with their ways, she did it so she could remain safe and negotiated a place of power instead of servitude. She helps run Camp Love.

Darby - 46. No known children, no partner. Darby managed to evade capture by hiding out in the forest only to find herself later taken and thrown into the care of Evelyn. She lied on her papers stating she was 39. And had a previous daughter out of wedlock that no one is privy to during the story.

Gregory - Evelyn's current husband. Though afraid of what Dr. Ahsbey might do to him if he touches Evelyn he instead keeps his distance. He feels for her but his fear gets the best of him.

Will Evelyn be able to save the women in her care while also keeping herself safe? Will she find out the truth about these camps? Will she be free to love the man her heart truly desires? He’s not her husband by the way.

These are all questions we dive into as the film progresses.

Camp Love deals with the limiting beliefs around women having children later in life, fear, and the various ways people deal with pain.

The Lobster

Don't Worry Darling

Handmaid's Tale

This film is for psychological thriller and dystopian fans. For anyone who believes that all people should get a say over their own bodies and how they want to live their life. It’s for people who want to live life without limiting beliefs and fears. To be truly free to be who they are.

Because it’s so incredibly important to remind everyone they still have time. As I reach the end of my thirties and still very much want children I felt myself feeling the pressures society can sometimes place upon us. That is truly where this story was born. Can you imagine a world where women are put into camps if they haven’t had children before reaching 40? Truly terrifying. I want to create art that can change the world as well as entertain. I want people to know they still have time. That there are women out there who have healthy pregnancies after 40. Some even after 50.

And even if you don’t want children you’re also not less of a human because of that. We are all beautiful inside and out. And we deserve to live the life we desire. There’s nothing wrong with anyone for wanting children after 40 or not wanting children at all. And you can love whoever you want. I truly believe there’s no right or wrong when it comes to love.

Camp Love is my love letter to anyone who feels like they have run out of time. To realizing you matter. And not being afraid to fight our own monsters.

I wrote this story to bring hope in situations that seem impossible. To remind others to never give up. They’re never too old or unable to have what they want. We are all powerful beings who matter and deserve to live the lives we desire.

And with how the world may be heading I think it's very important we get stories like this out there now as to bring awareness to how dangerous a place like Camp Love could be if it was ever really created. We cannot force people to do things they do not want. Women and men deserve to have choice over themselves. People should be free.

With your kind contribution we will be able to hire a lawyer and pay our casting director to do what she does best. Find our perfect actors. We will use some of this funding to lock in the top talent. And with these actors we'll be able to get further funding which may include pre-sales to secure the rest our budget to go into production. This film will be made.

I am very passionate about telling stories that matter. And I also want people to be paid while doing it. They are giving up their time to create this and I want them taken care of. With your help we can make this film happen. And you're also joining us at the early stages. You'll be updated along the way in this adventurous and exciting process.

You are a part of this journey.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are helping make dreams a reality.

In order to help stop the limiting beliefs that women run out of time at the young age of 40 (you still have so much life left to live), we need YOUR help in raising minimum development funds of $25,000. These funds will go towards securing an entertainment attorney and getting cast involved in the project. The more people we have believing in the power of this film, the more we can stop the world from taking a woman's right to choose their path.

Firstly, thank you. And if we surpass our goal the remaining will go towards our filming budget. Ideally we'd like to be fully funded by next year, and go into production mid next year. Of course sooner if we get the funding we need.

We're aiming to have a completed film by the end of 2025 where we can head into the top festivals and secure a theatrical release for 2026.

This is of course just the beginning of our journey with this film.

STRETCH GOAL #1: LOCATION ($35,000)

This stretch goal will enable us to lock in a summer camp type set that might be straight out of a horror film. We plan on renting out a summer camp for the entirety of filming, allowing us to live and work amongst the camp bunks.

STRETCH GOAL #2: CREATIVE DEPARTMENT HEADS: ($40,000)

By helping us achieve this stretch goal, our incredible talent pool will grow. We'd love to start hiring all our creative department heads to join us on this adventure, from Director of Photography to Editor to Costume Designer. Paying our amazing crew is at the top of our list since all of them help bring the story to life.

STRETCH GOAL #3: COSTUME AND PRODUCTION DESIGN ($50,000)

Securing this stretch goal will enhance the production value of our film. Costume and production design play key elements in the overall story of Camp Love. We will elevate our ensemble cast of (21!) with rich fabrics, blood stains, and dystopian textures, ensuring our actors step directly into their characters.

Anything you can give really helps us bring Camp Love to life. We truly appreciate you taking the time to consider giving more. You really are making dreams come true!

Camp Love is being made with your help. We have one of the best producers out there, Alexandra Olivia Engelson, a brilliant casting director, Mia Cusumano, and our kind, visionary director Cathy Beasley. Together we are bringing this story to life. We really can't thank you all enough. And if donating isn't in your cards right now, please feel free to simply share this project and get the word out there.

This film is starting with you.

You are the beginning of this audience.

You all are so amazing! And I truly treasure every one of you. Thank you again.

I am very grateful for the team that I have found thus far. I chose Alexandra, my producer, because of her brilliance, kindness, and passion for telling stories. She and I really matched well from the get go. Including our desire for making films where we keep the crew and cast's needs at the forefront. Although yes I love telling stories and making films, I really care about the people I work with. Their safety is always at the forefront.
