Hey everyone,
I'm Ron Bonk, owner of SRS Cinema. As we head into our 34th year of independent film production and distribution, I’m excited to announce our latest project: "Chihuahuasaurus Rex"—a wild sci-fi horror action-adventure, marking our latest collaboration with director Bobby Canipe, Jr. (Woke, Ouija Slumber Party).
When Maxx, a lovable chihuahua, is kidnapped by the deranged Dr. Barkenstein, he finds himself trapped inside a secret laboratory alongside other dogs and cats being used in bizarre experiments. But Barkenstein’s latest experiment creates something he never expected: Maxx is transformed into a tiny T-Rex with the heart and attitude of a chihuahua.
Now free from the laboratory, Maxx sets out to stop Dr. Barkenstein, rescue the other animals, and find his way back to the family that loves him.
Inspired by the beloved Full Moon/Moonbeam family creature features of the 1990s, including Prehysteria! and Pet Shop, Chihuahuasaurus Rex is a fun, nostalgic throwback packed with practical creature effects, mad science, and one very unlikely hero!
We’ve set an achievable initial funding goal of just $1,000 to jumpstart momentum and get the campaign trending. We envision "C-Rex" as a hilarious, creature-feature blend of Jurassic Park meets Critters. While $1,000 isn't the full budget, every dollar raised beyond our target goes directly onto the screen—securing top talent, wild practical effects, awesome props, and fair pay for our hard-working cast and crew.
Bobby brings a unique 70s, 80s, and 90s horror vibe to his work, and he's pouring massive passion into this project. Together, we are committed to making "C-Rex" something truly special.
