The Story

Circle One explores our need to exert control over our lives. A man finds himself in the middle of nowhere and must come to terms with who he is, and what has brought him there. It’s a story about love, fate, regret, and the choices we make.
What happens when your conscious mind, the part that deals with logic and short-term focus, meets your subconscious mind, the part that deals with emotions and memory? The subconscious communicates through images and feelings that often break through during sleep or quiet moments. That sudden intense moment of realization is where Circle One exists.

We will utilize a monochromatic color palette, dominated by muted desert tones of brown, beige, and tan, interspersed with cold, metallic grays. The color palette of golden yellows will give the film a sun-drenched feel. Wide angle lenses and motion will add a sense of unease and distortion, making it difficult for the viewer to distinguish between what is real and what is imagination.

The ambient sounds of the desert will also add to the sense of loneliness and vulnerability.

This film is inspired by and dedicated to the memory of my cousin, who left this world too soon. He was a professor and Dante scholar who always challenged us to think outside the box and push beyond what we thought were our limits. I miss him, so for me this project is personal. I can’t help but feel him sitting on my shoulder egging me on to get this project done.
We and our entire crew are eager to take you on this thought provoking journey.

Since 2016 we have generated films that we are truly proud of and have been able to gather a great team of talented individuals to help bring these films to life. All 5 films have garnered awards in almost every category on the festival circuit and have received the following accolades along the way.

"Impressive in its scope, it packs a powerful punch in 18 short minutes. Exploring how memory and heartbreak inform the present, FIGS FOR ITALO did for me, what only truly special films do -- it stayed with me, and still does. I deeply love this film.”
Peter Hedges - (Academy Award Nominee)
Ben is Back, Pieces of April, What's Eating Gilbert Grape
"Intense. A moving story of a man's love, pride, and haunted past. A story that reminds us how man's inhumanity to man destroys us all."
Wendell Pierce - (NAACP Image Award Winner)
Selma, Confirmation, The Wire
“A well crafted and beautifully shot portrait of racism that existed right after WWII, and still haunts us to this day. See this moving film.”
Kristi Zea - (2 Time Academy Award Nominee)
Revolutionary Road, As Good as It Gets, The Departed

"...writer/director/star Bob Celli shows some impressive mastery in Because I Love You…You got me. Brilliant. Thanks for a short to remember. 9 0ut of 10"
- Alan Ng (Film Threat Review)
"Bob Celli’s tight direction...emulates the late, great Alfred Hitchcock’s Vertigo...Because I Love You finds writer/director and star Bob Celli pulling out all the stops alongside a stellar supporting cast, delivering a marriage crisis in gloriously tense fashion...So sit back. . . and enjoy the ride.
-Mark Lakatos (Take2Indie Review)
"Plotzke brings Joanna's persona to life here in a way that actually complements Celli's performance beautifully...she finds all the nooks and crannies of Joanna's experience and draws us in and takes our breath away....Celli is equally strong in a performance that says so much in so little time. Even as his behavior becomes a bit more extreme, we follow along respectfully because Celli's performance demands it."
- Richard Propes (The Independent Critic)

"It’s a tough task for a film that only has a few minutes to leave an impression, to leave you satisfied by what you’ve seen but The Keeper does exactly that, it’s genuinely satisfying."
Rebecca Cherry (Film Carnage Review)
"The Keeper, is a tight and compact thriller…tension and release keep audiences hooked in this relationship."
Alan Ng (Film Threat)
"My Over There is a very personal, affectionate yet sad tale. It’s a tender, lingering walk through beloved memories of the past, mired by WWI...akin to Gloria Stuart in the Titanic, it has that mix of fond memories which wander into sadness. Verdict: ✯✯✯½

Your support of this campaign will help us to secure the resources to pay our talented cast and crew, acquire the materials, equipment, etc., needed for our production and post-production phases.

Simple. Movies cost money and it takes a city to bring one to life. The times we are living through demand that we as artists create our work, to entertain, teach, bring awareness, and offer some escape.
DelanoCelli Productions has been fortunate to enjoy great collaborations with talented casts,
crews, and production teams. We are honored that our films have been Official Selections at festivals all over the world. Collectively the films have garnered over 200 hundred Awards and Nominations. None of this could have happened without the generous support of Co-Producers, Associate Producers, and Contributors like you.

100% of the funds will go toward production and post production. $20,000 is what we need to help complete this film. Anything above this amount will help us elevate the production value of the film. I and most of my producing staff are working for free or discounted rates, as are many of the crew involved, because they love the story and want to be a part of it. We need:
Crew & Production Gear - Casting - Insurance - Location Fees
Post Production (sfx, color grading, editing, score) Food (for cast and crew)

Every project comes with challenges, but we are committed to making this film. Funds above our immediate goal will go towards higher production value, post-production costs, and the project's longer term needs, such as marketing and publicity. We count on you and others like you to put your trust in us, taking into account our library of film work, the success we've had, and our determination.
We would love you to come along for the ride!
