(Inspirational still of Colin and Amelia)
Colin is a young bartender who is content with his lifestyle, he's got a good job that he loves, he's not tied down by a relationship and all the alcohol he can drink at the end of the night. That is until Amelia show's up in his bar. Amelia thinks she has her life figured out; she has the job she wants, knows what kind of partner she's looking for and that is definietly not Colin. When the two meet they butt heads but after Amelia's date goes south the two realizes there is more to the other than meets the eye.
From Director, Writer and Actress,
Zoe Erin Wallace
"I want to focus on a film that shows the moments of internal struggle in letting yourself love and realize that the only person in your way is yourself. I want to show what happens after happily ever after and that it's not so perfect as what we may think. People and their struggles aren't so black and white, they love in a nuanced and complicated world full of colors and shades. Closing Time isn't about romantic love. It's a film about friendship and connection. It's not a rom-com, it's not a fairytale, it's a messy intimate film about fucked up people who want to be better."
(Tonal stills of the film.)
Zoe Erin Wallace has been working on Closing Time for a year and the film has grown from a child with hearts in their eyes to an angsty teen to an adult with issues that they're working to solve. Written durring one of the greatest heartbreaks of her life, she wants to focus not on the romantic love in the film but about the connections and friendships that we grow and flourish with and that allow us to become the next version of ourself. This film is also to state the fact that love isn't perfect, it's very messy and above all you choose if you want to love.

(Tonal still of the theme.)
Closing Time was created for the first time in January 2022 and filmed in March of 2022. However, something still felt like it was missing. Something didn't feel complete. Closing Time wasn't ready to close just yet. Though the film exists in it's original form in the Media section of this page for your viewing pleasure it is also available so that you can view the growth of where this film has been and where it's going. We plan to submiit to festivals around the country and hopefully the world so everyone can see the film. There is also a feature version of this film in the development that hopes to grace the screens in the near future. This current version of Closing Time is to help us understand the world as creatives as well as start to get our message for the film out into the world and get people excited and interested.

(Tonal still of the theme.)
This production is a final project for Zoe Erin Wallace, a New York Film Academy Student and Alumni. It’s up to the film students to raise and fund for their final project therefore we are making it happen. Not only do we want this project to flourish for Zoe but, we want it to reach and touch other people furthering the idea that love isn't perfect. We want everyone to choose to love this film and spread the idea of it and change the narrative of what love is. So if you've chosen to love something that you have created or understand the strength and energy and love that goes into making a film or know someone who does please consider donating to the film or spreading the word and supporting us in anyway you can.
