Mission Statement

At first glance, it may seem like a film about one somewhat insufferable, slightly selfish and delicate person (read: actor) trying to make it. But it soon becomes clear this is a story about friendship. That no matter how deep the rifts between friends, they'll pull through when sh*t hits the fan.

The Story

An actor forces his friends to throw a viewing party for his first TV co-star. But when his agent calls to tell him his two lines were cut, he has to reverse course, stopping at nothing to prevent them from watching and save his ego.

Be ready for some [attempted] lewks, an Angels in America act-off, charcuterie board madness, and maybe even a good ole SLAP!

This is a love letter to all of us who lay discarded on cutting room floors across the world. We’re all in this fetid but wonderful industry together, clinging on for dear life.

Filmed in October 2023 and now we need your help with finishing funds!

This story is a tribute to the insanity that is the entertainment business and to the artists who make it their lives.

At the most prosaic level, this is based on when I had my first co-star on an ABC/Hulu show only to realize when I excitedly sat down to watch the actual episode, I had been cut. But it’s not just me, every actor has a similar story. Tyler booked a large co-star on a show, only to arrive to set and find that most of his material had been cut.

But this is a story about friendship. That no matter no deep rifts between old friends may run, we will pull through for one another when sh*t hits the fan. I’d like to imagine that this same story could feature each one of our three main characters taking the lead as the most insufferable of the group. And that’s the charm of it. We’re all in this fetid but wonderful industry together, clinging on for dear life.

We had a blast making this short film, and our so proud of small but mighty cast and crew.

After attending many festivals, it was key to us to make something fast, funny, quippy, but something that also had heart. We have high hopes that this universal story will do very well at festivals and with audiences all over.

We were thrilled to work with a small but mighty crew on our shoot in the fall of 2023.

We need your help with our finishing funds. Post-Production and editing is the key factor between having a good film and having a great film.

Comedic timing with the edit. The right music and composition to set the scene and get the laughs in the right spot. A good color grade that adds to the vibe. All super important to get the best version of this little story we're sharing.

We are ecstatic with our footage and excited to be collaborating with very talented editor, colorist, composer, and sound mixer who will all enhance the quality of the story. We have called in favors, and all have agreed to much lower rates, but our modest post-budget is still challenging to personally finance.

The full post-production breakdown is viewable under our WISHLIST.

No pledge is too small and every "follow" counts.

WHY NOW? After two industry shut downs in the past few years, it's clear that the industry will always be a volatile place. But what will always last are the friendships and connections we make along the way. Cheesy? Maybe. But we're hoping you can help us bring this story to life.

We need to reach beyond our network in order to make this crowdfunding goal a success. If you like supporting indie filmmakers, now is your chance- YOU can make the difference in our success!

Please share our campaign via your social media, email, word-of-mouth, however you can! We can't do this without you.
