The Story

Nine year-old Mazzy has always been part of the perfect co-op duo with her older brother, Mason.... until he gets a girlfriend.
Throughout the week, Mazzy turns their fading connection into an epic series of imagined video game battles as she prepares to face off against the FINAL BOSS: Mason's lovely girlfriend, Jaina.

LONELINESS
JEALOUSY
With every battle, Mazzy fights to remain "Player 2" while learning that growing up isn't about winning the game — it's about learning how to keep playing, even when everything changes.

CONTINUE? is unique in how it brings a fantastical VFX/Video Game twist to your typical coming-of-age story as we bounce between two worlds:
.png)
LIVE ACTION: Imaginative, vibrant, and epic. Dynamic camerawork, stylized VFX, and glowing colors bring Mazzy’s emotional battles to life, like a 2010s arcade come alive. Think Scott Pilgrim vs. the World meets Everything Everywhere All At Once.
ANIMATION: To fully immerse us in Mazzy’s imagination, the film features an in-world 2D fighting game that she and Mason play together on their TV. These custom avatars reflect their bond and serve as visual anchors in the animated character selection and battle scenes.

LIVE ACTION: Grounded, tender, and youthful. Warm, handheld cinematography captures the quiet melancholy and love of everyday moments, evoking the emotional intimacy and nostalgic charm.

We aim to raise $10,000. Your support will help us hire stunt coordinators, a studio teacher, animators, and VFX artists to make our set as safe and immersive as possible.
We currently are in pre‑production with 5 days of filming planned for late October 2025 and an Early 2026 Festival Run.

My older brother has always been my greatest inspiration. He taught me to ride a bike, introduced me to Pokémon, and encouraged me to be my weirdest, most chalant self. Despite our large age gap, he was my best friend and Player 1. When he left for college and got his first girlfriend, I came to a terrifying realization: we wouldn't stay kids forever.
CONTINUE? is an homage to those bittersweet moments that remind us growing up is inevitable, and how lucky we are to have a sibling beside us... even if only for part of the journey.
Hi, I'm KShae, and I strive to tell stories that explore universal human connections through bold, fantastical premises.
As a Filipino‑American raised in the Midwest, I’ve always believed that heartfelt, relatable stories about identity and relationships deserve to be just as visually thrilling as any blockbuster — no matter your background. And now, when our team of 20-something-year-old USC film students are entering our final years of college, we feel it's the perfect time to pay homage to our childhoods.
By supporting this project, you're not only investing in our future filmmaking careers but also in the starry-eyed kids we were not so long ago.
