The Story
Dead End Job is a horror comedy about two besties — Clem and Jam — with nowhere to go and nothing to do but mock each other and kill time until the end of their shift…but there’s all kinds of ways to kill time. Jam can entertain themself all day long, but Clem is tired of Jam's games. Clem wants out, she's desperate, and she will maim and murder if she has to, anything to escape this Dead End Job.
Clem and Jam start their shift at the gas station just like normal. They sit in the exact same chairs and wait in the exact same spot day after day after day. That brutal boredom, that morbid monotony forces Clem to do something drastic, and maybe ruin her only friendship forever.
Clem and Jam grew up together in a small town. They have not had a single experience that the other doesn't know about...or so they think. These two best friends are both underestimating the other, taking comfort in the fact that they live this dead end life together.
WGA and SAG-AFTRA are on strike. We are WGA and SAG-AFTRA members. We wholeheartedly support this strike and trust our negotiations committees to fight for us and get the best deal. The AMPTP refuses to pay us what we know we are worth. We won't let that stop us from telling our stories and creating our art, but it will stop us from telling our stories and creating our art for them! Dead End Job is a completely independent film production. Your donations make it possible for artists and creators to continue creating.
