Mission Statement

Bringing new and underrepresented voices to film during an era that was ruled by gender and racial inequality. Our film is lead by a strong Female Native American Mexican Single Mother and an African American Leader in his community. She is the heart and he the moral truth.

The Story

Lovers of Crime, Suspense Thrillers, and Psychological Horror this one is for you!

"Diana Chimera finds herself pregnant and unmarried in 1939.  Instead of running off to a convent and secretly giving up her child for adoption which was so common during this era, she chooses to live the life of a single mother.

In a time of great gender inequality, Diana goes against the rules society has carved out for her as a Woman.  She maneuvers her way through life attempting to provide the best she can for her son Randall...often sacrificing herself.

BUT HOW FAR IS SHE WILLING TO GO?

Eventually, she comes head to head with someone she considers her equal counterpart in Rob Ressler...unexpected, kind, and willing to listen...BUT IS HE WHO HE APPEARS TO BE? "

In Autumn They Fly Away has just completed Principal Photography.  Shot on the ARRI Alexa Mini, it combines both modern day and vintage filming techniques and lighting to create a classic Hollywood look.

Inspired by the unapologetically strong yet fragile female characters of Classic Hollywood Cinema such as:

Martha (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?)

Blanche Hudson (What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?)

Blanche Dubois (A Streetcar Named Desire)

In Autumn They Fly Away attempts to capture a bit of this magic combining shooting style, lighting, colorization, and the creation of multi-dimensional characters.

The story itself goes against the grain of societies rules for the time period. A Woman who isn't afraid to assert herself during an era plagued by sexism and racism....a single Mother who, ultimately, will do whatever she has to do to secure the safety and future for her Son...even if that means the ultimate sacrifice.
