The Story
Epiphany follows the story of Luka, a young girl desperate to connect with her negligent father in a Greek sponge diving town in Florida. While also struggling in her relationship with her pill-addicted uncle, Luka befriends an older man and slowly uncovers her family's mysterious past.
Epiphany is a story of familial love. This story lives on the sea and in the hearts of simple, hardworking people who struggle to maintain the important traditions of the past while striving for happiness in the present moment.

At twelve years old, Caitlin Carmichael's list of credits looks like that of an accomplished adult actor. Caitlin was one of the youngest actresses to appear on the Prime Time Emmy ballot for her role in the SONY series “CHOSEN” opposite Chad Michael Murray. Some of her credits include American Girl, Warner Brother’s 300: Rise Of An Empire, CSI, Dexter, Law and Order, Criminal Minds and True Blood. 2017 will surely be an exciting year for Caitlin as her Netflix Original Movie “Wheelman” is to be released this fall. She is also receiving international press and film festival awards for her lead role in the short film “Monsters.” Caitlin just completed filming a Dan Fogelman feature film in New York called “Life, Itself” starring Olivia Wilde, Samuel L. Jackson, Oscar Isaac and Olivia Cooke.

KOULA SOSSIADIS KAZISTA

Koula Sossiadis Kazista received her Bachelor of Art in Journalism at Lehigh University, where she graduated with honors in 1995. She relocated to Philadelphia and began her film career working as a script supervisor, while developing and writing her own passion projects in her spare time.
In 1996, Koula moved to New York City where she interned at Deborah Schindler Productions. She landed her first New York feature gig as a production assistant on the Sylvester Stallone/Robert De Niro film Copland. She continued working on numerous films including The Devil's Advocate, Far From Heaven, Anger Management and School of Rock.
She then rose to Production Supervisor, working to keep the daily operations of feature films on budget and schedule. Her Production Supervisor credits include The Forgotten starring Julianne Moore and Annapolis starring James Franco.
Koula and her husband presently own and operate their own company, Monster Remotes, a specialized film equipment rental company. The company caters to large budget films, from the chase sequences in John Wick 2, to various shots in Manchester By The Sea, as well as episodic television such as House of Cards, Orange Is The New Black, and Gotham.
KATINA SOSSIADIS

Katina Sossiadis attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Master's in Fine Arts. Katina moved to NYC where she worked at the Guggenheim Museum for director Tom Krens. She studied film at New York University's School of Continuing Educations. In addition, Katina trained with acting/directing coach Andrienne Weiss. She also worked in the production side of the film industry, by working on Far From Heaven starring Julianna Moore and Analyze That starring Robert DeNiro.
In April 1999, Katina wrote and co-directed a short film entitled Lynn's Wake with her sister. The film was accepted and well received at several film festivals such as the New York Independent Feature Film Market, the Austin Film Festival, the National Short Film Festival in Drama, Greece, and the 22nd International Women's Film Festival in Creteil, France.
In 2007, Katina completed a documentary entitled Virgins of New York, which had success in being part of several festivals such as the Black Maria Film Festival, Coney Island Film Festival, and Reel Women International Film Festival.
Last May, Katina directed her first play by David Mamet entitled American Buffalo. She also was an Associate Producer on Dan Roebuck's Getting Grace.

Penny Edmiston is an award-winning filmmaker with a successful career of producing commercials, stills and documentaries such as Bones Brigade, directed by Stacy Peralta, which world premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She wrote and co-directed the award-winning documentary film UNFIT: Ward vs. Ward. She is currently producing the documentary Bethany Hamilton: Unstoppable and she produced the narrative film Beauty Mark premiering at the LA Film Festival in June. With many television and film projects in development, she hopes to continually be inspired by content, corn-dogs and the bigger picture. Affectionately known to her crew as “Penster,” she resides in Los Angeles, California with her Boxer puppy, Maya.
Alice Gu began her cinematography career initially as a still photographer. After graduating with her BFA in photography from the University of California, San Diego, she started by shooting stills for the music industry, for the likes of Sony Music, URB, and Geffen. She soon realized that she could actualize her creative vision further in moving images and began pursuing a career in the motion picture world.
A Los Angeles native, Alice was exposed to surf, snow, and music at an early age. Her styles range anywhere gritty and raw to lifestyle to beauty. She has had the privilege to shoot documentaries taking her from the favelas of Rio De Janeiro, touring with rock bands throughout Europe, and following the elite professional surfers of the World Championship Tour. Her commercial clients for print and live action include TBWA/ Chiat Day, Media Arts Lab, Deutsche, Berlin Cameron, Cole & Weber, Pereira & O’Dell, Doremus, Publicis, Beats by Dre, Laird Hamilton, ESPN, FIFA, NFL, NHL, NBA, the WSL, Apple, Peta, and the American Humane Association. As a Director of Photography, she has worked with world-reknown directors as Werner Herzog, Stacy Peralta, Rory Kennedy, and Tracy Droz Tragos.
“Take Every Wave: the Life of Laird Hamilton” made its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2017, a documentary film directed by Academy Award nominated director, Rory Kennedy, and lensed by Alice Gu. When Alice is not shooting, she can be found surfing, snowboarding, and traveling the world in pursuit of art and waves.
