Mission Statement

Eternity Road is a fanciful love story with an Instagram influencer and a cyclist, who cross paths with a lesbian triangle and two love birds. The film will inspire compassion and open dialogue for Millennials and the LGBTQ+ community to speak up against sexist biases.

The Story

LOGLINE
Eternity Road is a feature-length romantic comedy film. The film follows a self-obsessed influencer, Mia, who teams up with a hot-headed gym bro to film a road trip vlog across America raising social justice awareness. Mia prepares to abandon the trip as she hits 1 million followers, allowing her to get a discounted boob job but, Symon insists on finishing the journey by any means necessary to compete in a weight lifting championship in Venice Beach.

A fortune teller guides us through three different main endings for the story, following some minor events, from sunrise to sunset.

THEMES

Eternity Road is an experimental fanciful drama movie covering some of the crucial social justice subject matters in our society. It is an exploration of social media culture and its impact on self-image and self-esteem, and a generation of social media users seeking approval and attention on the internet. At its core, it is a story about gender fluidity, acceptance of differences in genders and sexual orientations, and hidden sexism in daily interactions.

STYLE

Influenced by Amelie (2001, dir. Jean-Pierre Jeunet) vs. Run Lola Run (1998, dir. Tom Tykwer), Eternity Road has developed a style that is all its own. Every aesthetic decision, from the cinematic look to the production design, brings the audience into Eternity Road’s world. The collage creation background of the director is the glue to all the different pieces of this movie, from the episodic form of storytelling to following multiple characters’ arches.

From designing specific social media platform interfaces, to the main character’s t-shirt, even taking it further to bringing handmade props to the set and hanging artist’s photographs. We want to make sure we’re giving you a unique visual experience. “Cinema is all details”, as the great Robert Bresson said. Check out these designs for two of our sets.

CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT

The character development, hero's journey, and arcs are based on 45 Master Characters by Victoria Schidment. Each character is based on a Greek archetype and their wants and needs are rooted in Greek mythology.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR

Shahrzad is an award-winning director/writer. Her films, 500 Ounces of Gold and Highlight, have been honored with multiple awards at worldwide festivals. In 2016, she received the coveted "Golden Gazzale" from the Persian International Film Festival in Australia and the "Best Script" award from the Cervaignano Film Festival in Italy. She received the "Best Inspirational Women in Film" award from the Festigious Film Festival of Los Angeles. In 2017, Highlight got banned and dismissed from all public exhibitions. The story reflects the radical beliefs about women's virginity, pregnancy outside of marriage, and the challenging life of a transgender person in Iran.

Eternity Road's production team aims to take a value-driven approach in producing the film. This movie passes the following Media tests for Diversity and Representation:

  • Bechdel Test - for representation of women
  • Duvernay Test - for diversity and racial representation
  • Vito Russo Test - for LGBTQ+ representation
  • Waithe Test - for representation of Black women
  • Riz Test - for the portrayal of Muslim people

We made sure Diversity and Representation start from casting and our production crew; we provide a welcoming, safe environment for everyone. We also make sure to empower unique voices, including our BIPOC and LGBTQ cast and crew.

90% of our production team identify themselves as women. It’s absolutely empowering to have a major number of female artists in key roles in film's male-dominated industry.

Eternity Road is one of the first-ever films that offer Non-Fungible Token (NFT) to its fans and supporters. NFTs are a form of digital asset that can represent ownership of a film. Our production team has designed a few incentive packages (Checkout the Sidebar!) that give you a chance to collect your very own NFTs.

On top of the efforts of the talented cast and crew to convert the written story into a motion picture, we have Mehdi Noori who is an AI Scientist / NFT Expert on board as Executive Producer, and we plan to explore new horizons. Mehdi's passion in the movie industry is developing narratives about empowering storytelling from the middle east and underrepresented groups. He went to MIT and has a Ph.D. in Engineering.

Taking advantage of the tech world’s best practices in collaborative work, we have established a unique working style to bridge the gap between the two industries when it comes to indie filmmaking. These mechanisms include solutions to optimize communication between creative teams, minimize production costs, and use AI-backed tools during pre-production.

Please note, these digital assets are not an investment vehicle and there is no guaranteed value on them at the time of this campaign. However, NFT collectors will become members of our NFT community, and receive perks in the future.

We need YOUR help to cross the finish line. For this phase of production, we aim to raise $50,000! So far we've secured 10,000 from investors. We plan to raise $18,000 of this amount from the Seed&Spark Campaign and the remaining from the grants, private contributions, and sponsorship.

Your contributions will help cover the cost of the following:

  • Props, Costumes, and Set Decoration: It wouldn't be a film without some cool aesthetic feel!
  • Location Fees and Permits: Including permits for drone shots and location fees for shooting in a casino
  • Catering and Food: Gotta keep our cast and crew fueled up as we make art
  • Film’s Digital Look: We plan to design a completely new look for a social media platform due to copyright reasons and need heavy graphic design and post-production support.
  • Production Insurance: Safety on-set is an absolute must-have

We really hope that you will consider supporting our production. Here are three ways you can help make Eternity Road a reality:

  • Follow us on social media and share our campaign! If you can't contribute, maybe a friend can! Follow us on Instagram to help get the word out.
  • Take a look at our incentive tiers on the side, we have some NFTs to collect now!
  • Give physical assets to the production! Do you have a house or business in Florida that we can use as a shooting location? Or maybe you have meals that you can provide to our cast and crew? Whatever it may be, send an email to [email protected] and let us know!

Thank you so much for your support.

  • Regarding the COVID safety plan, we are following the protocols of Film Florida
