I found these shoes in the 1990's and it intrigued me to the point that they consumed my life for decades, learning more about this woman who died in 1880. I was compelled to travel to Troy, NY to find her home. This is my story and what I think would have happened.

Mission Statement

My project increases representation of Latin@s by starring a strong Latina female lead and a screenplay written and directed by a Latina military veteran. The cast is also ethnically diverse.

The Story

A young woman finds a pair of antique baby shoes with a mysterious name written on the soles and embarks on a journey to find out more. She soon realizes that it’s not what you find, it’s why you find it.

Barbara's life-long passion in acting started in 1956 in Uvalde, Texas, when she won "best actress" in her sophomore year.  It was the first time the award had been given to an underclassman. Instead, she married and raised five children while slowly easing back into the film industry.  She has worn many hats: Actor, Producer, Writer, and Location Manager.  She is currently appearing on a national commercial for Tide and earlier this year, she completed her first short film, Best Served Cold, that was loosely based on personal experience.  She now lives on the banks of the river in San Marcos, Texas.
