Mission Statement

Female friendly is a thoughtful, female-driven comedy that uses humor to promote sex and body positivity and transcend gender and ethnic stereotypes! Additionally, we have a rockstar crew that is composed of 90% women. We're swimming in a pool of estrogen and we LOVE it.

The Story

Female Friendly is the love child of Taylor C. Baker and Chelsea Hunt-Rivera, two real life best friends whose story began when they met in a narrative production class at The University of Texas in 2012. We wanted to write a story about real women, that celebrates their differences, and allows them to triumph their obstacles by bringing out the best in each other.

Female Friendly is not just a web series, it is part of something much bigger than online comedy. Let's be real, it is 2017 and we live in a world that consistently tries to hold women back - one step forward, two steps back. Luckily, our voices united can, and will be heard. Female Friendly is made for women, by women. We are taking control of our voices, our bodies, our sexuality, and our power. Not only does our story celebrate strong, relatable women - but our crew is composed of 90% women.

Our story follows two heroines, Cat and Alex, best friends that could not be more different. Through a series of less than ideal circumstances, they find themselves wanting more: more control, more power, and more say in their own lives. So naturally, they decide to start a female friendly porn production company - further proving that women get off pretty well on their own.

About This Team

Chelsea Alana Rivera  - Co-Creator/Writer
Chelsea is the proud creator/co-writer of "Female Friendly".  From a young age, this NYC born/Texas raised actress had a burning desire to do one thing and one thing only: perform Ricky Martin on Karaoke (seriously, come see me at Brass Monkey sometime). Unfortunately, she soon found that she couldn't survive on the applause alone and so she settled for Plan B. Since moving to L.A., Chelsea has had the pleasure of appearing in multiple films, web series, and music videos. Her love of powerhouse women (looking at you Issa Rae) and eternal annoyance at the lack of honest, on-screen representation of female characters inspired Chelsea to create a bad ass, female-driven comedy. She is incredibly excited to see this hilarious series play out through the eyes of series regular, Alexandra! See more of Chelsea's la vida loca at www.chelsea-alana.com!

Taylor C. Baker - Co-Creator/Writer
A Texas native, made her way to Los Angeles to act, sing, and improvise her way around Hollywood. Before moving, she further honed her craft as a professional goofball with a degree in Film & Television from UT Austin.  Taylor has enjoyed appearing in several short films and web series since living in LA.  Currently, Taylor contributes her musical and comedy styling’s to the Caberlesque troupe Cherry Poppins, as well as singing improvised songs about her day (usually involving cats). She loves potatoes in any form or fashion (can I get an amen for sweet potato fries?!) and she tends to run into doorframes more than the average person. Taylor is ecstatic to bring series regular Catherine to life! See more of Taylor's work at www.taylorcbaker.com.

Frakie Ingrassia - Director

Frankie Ingrassia is an LA native, a filmmaker who started her career as an actor working alongside Holly Hunter in the HBO original film “The Positively True Adventures of the Alleged Texas Cheerleader Murdering Mom” which preceded her iconic experimentalist roll in Alexander Payne’s “Election.”  Frankie spent several years shadowing directors she respected before she took her first crack at it.  That first job was the pilot “Hey You It’s Me” which has since gone on to win over 14 festivals and was picked up and turned to series and is now being released on Seed and Spark’s web platform in April of 2017. She was one of the first females to direct the PR footage for the world famous Coachella music festival and in between the last handful of web series's and short films she has been hired on to direct, she has been recurring on Amazon’s “Goliath” as Billy Bob Thornton’s bartender, as well as a recurring voice on Tyler the Creator’s new cartoon “The Jellies.”  She recently completed her first film as a producer, “The Concrete Kids” which will release by the summer of 2017.

Mariscela Méndez - Director of Photography

Mariscela Beatriz Méndez  recently wrapped a series of PSAs for Voto Latino and The Latino Coalition for a Healthy California.  She’s is currently in pre-production for two short films as well as a feature slated to shoot late 2017. Miss Méndez is one of 20 scholarship recipients that will attend the "Hola Mexico - Tomorrow’s Filmmaker’s Today" intensive program this coming June, which connects it’s participants with prominent filmmakers working in Hollywood and Mexico.

Kelly Peters - Editor

Working with people who are excited about their projects is what Kelly loves best. Kelly feels lucky to have worked on a wide range of projects over the last few years, ranging from comedy webisodes to indie features to promos to documentaries.

Kelly's upcoming projects include an indie action feature and a true crime documentary. Kelly has been so inspired by the great women she's worked with that she is writing and producing some of her own projects too!
