The Story
We shouldn't have to leave our community to build a career in film.
For years, independent filmmakers, actors, and musicians in our region have faced the same massive hurdle: gatekeeping. To make a high-end film, find a dedicated cast, or get an original score, we’ve been told we have to look to major, inaccessible industry hubs. But the truth is, the talent is already right here in our backyard. It’s just disconnected.

I've been behind a camera and working in film production since the seventh grade. Over the years, I’ve worn nearly every hat in the industry—from directing and producing independent feature films that have reached digital streaming platforms, to managing original series and running a media production company.
My filmmaking journey has always been rooted in a single philosophy: community-first. I’ve dedicated my career to high-end digital media production, but my true passion has always been providing foundational training and professional pipelines for local talent—regardless of their background or age. I know firsthand what it takes to bring a creative vision to life, and I know how much easier it is when you aren't doing it alone.

The Problem & The Vision
When I launched my first major projects, I noticed how hard it was to find a central "hub" to connect with reliable crew, passionate local actors, and independent musicians for soundtracks. Creators are working in silos, unsure how to take their first big step or scale up their production value. That’s why I'm creating Film Cast Connect.
This isn't just a casual networking mixer. It is a dedicated, multi-disciplinary creative conference built around three major tracks: Film Production, Acting, and Independent Music. It’s a one-stop-shop designed to bridge the gap between emerging talent and the established industry by providing elite resources, peer-to-peer networking pipelines, and actionable
mentorship.

Beyond the Event (The Ecosystem)
Film Cast Connect is the launchpad for a much larger creative ecosystem. By funding this initiative, you are helping us build:
- The Creative Registry: A searchable, paid digital directory where local producers can easily hire, cast, and source soundtrack music from our community members.
- The Cast & Crew Dispatch: A dedicated industry newsletter delivering active local casting calls, job opportunities, and networking updates straight to creators' inboxes.
- Production Mentorship & Consulting: A structured framework to walk alongside independent creators step-by-step through project development, production, and distribution to ensure they meet their goals.
Why We Need You
Building an inclusive, high-production-value conference takes resources. Your backing will directly fund our physical venue security, high-end AV streaming setups to broadcast the event, workshop materials, and the digital infrastructure needed to launch our registry.
We are utilizing Seed&Spark’s 80% Greenlight rule, meaning we must hit at least 80% of our goal to keep any of the funds. Whether you are an independent creator looking for your tribe, a film lover who wants to support local arts, or a business looking to champion community growth—we need your help to close the gap.

About This Team
Christianna Arango is a South Jersey-based filmmaker, producer, and media executive who has been behind the camera since middle school. Earning a degree in Radio, Television, and Film, she's spent years mastering high-end cinematography, digital media production, and multi-camera live streaming.
After successfully writing, directing, and producing independent feature films and original series that earned digital distribution, Christianna realized that the biggest hurdle for independent talent isn't a lack of drive—it's a lack of connection. Rooted in a philosophy of community-first filmmaking, she has dedicated her career to breaking down industry barriers, providing foundational training to aspiring talent of all backgrounds, and helping local creatives navigate everything from production logistics to distribution. As the founder of Film Cast Connect, Christianna is on a mission to build a sustainable, self-starting creative infrastructure right here in our region.
Jeremy Lemmon is a South Jersey-based, globally experienced media specialist, communications professional, military veteran, and media producer with a background in public affairs, scriptwriting, video production, and strategic messaging. As a former Navy Mass Communication Specialist and current public information officer within the State of New Jersey, Jeremy has built a career out of turning ideas into clear, compelling stories.
Through Film Cast Connect, he is helping build a stronger creative network for local filmmakers, actors, and crew members, bringing his experience as an emerging media consultant.

Recently engaged, Christianna and Jeremy are combining their extensive production backgrounds for their very first joint venture. Together through Film Cast Connect, they are joining forces to bridge industry gaps and build a sustainable, self-starting creative infrastructure right here in our region.
