The Story
First... Check this out!
That's right. We're making a frickin' feature film!

Welcome to all things FRiCK! the movie! We're turning a project that started as a short film written, shot, and edited in less than two weeks with a budget of less than $100 into a feature film. We have been working on this project for years, and we're finally ready to share it with you.
It may sound cliche, but they simply don’t make them like they used to. Our generation needs a movie that represents them. The high’s, the lows and everything in between. That’s why we’re making FRiCK! A movie that was born from our love for the classic coming-of-age. A movie for Gen Z made by Gen Z.

This last decade has really changed what growing up looks like in the world. The stories told about teens don't reflect the coming-of-age experience like it used to. We don't have movies like Dazed and Confused, The Breakfast Club or even Superbad that truly represent what it's like to be a kid today. Movies that are fun, relatable, and leave an emotional impact. We want to grab the ingredients that made these movies great and cater them to today's generation. Growing up is hard no matter what era it is in, but our era deserves a spot on the movie list. FRiCK! will make you relive the chaotic High School experience while also not shying away from the hard conversations about mental health, and figuring out who you are. We are tapping into something that feels collectively unspoken right now. This generation is very self-aware but often guarded. A powerful film can model vulnerability in a way that feels safe but still hits hard.
While we love the nostalgic coming-of-age films, they haven't always had the greatest mental health awareness or representation. In the past, neurodivergence was always in the back of daily life but never discussed. Our main character, Noah, has Tourette Syndrome (TS). You shouldn't tell a story today about what it is like to exist with these issues without talking about them. TS is radically underserved in media and wildly misunderstood in society, but anyone with TS is still a human being who still goes through the same problems as everyone else does.

Now let's talk about the story.

What happens when you take a kid who has lived his entire life off the grid, completely isolated from society and drop him into a chaotic world of Tiktok, Instagram, girls, parties, gossip, SAT prep, and invisible norms?
.jpg)
This is the world where Noah finds himself in after he’s stripped away from his dad by Child Protective Services and has to move in with his estranged mom. So how does he figure out his new life? Right away he meets Jaxon, a larger-than-life personality that seems to get it. He is everything Noah wants to be right down to the fact he’s dating the girl of Noah’s dreams, Alexa. Jaxon introduces Noah to his regular crew of misfits at the first big party of the year.
.jpg)
Suddenly, Noah has made more friends in one night than he’s made in his entire life. Now he’s partying, meeting new people and getting first-hand experience on the highs and lows of the world he was denied up until now.
.jpg)
Will Noah be able to keep up or will this new world get the worst out of him?
Help us make the film to find out!

Why Now?

Now, we are gonna stand on our soap box again. Coming-of-age films matter most when they give shape to a shared feeling. Right now, a lot of people are growing up in conditions that feel fragmented, hyper-documented, and kind of emotionally confused. There’s constant comparison, identity is more fluid but also more pressured, and big life milestones (career, relationships, independence) are delayed or unstable. People feel things intensely, but there isn’t always a narrative that helps them understand what those feelings mean. With FRiCK!, we want to unify this scattered experience. This story shows what it's like to be young right now, and hopefully, it will make us feel less alone in the chaos. Past generations had films that became emotional landmarks—Lady Bird, Call Me By Your Name, Moonlight. There are recent ones, but fewer that feel truly defining for the whole generation. FRiCK! is an epic story that is sincere, visually bold, and emotionally committed all of which is used to say your inner life actually matters.
.jpg)
Tourette Syndrome (TS) being a major plot component, we have been working with the Tourette's advocates and special partners in the space which we will announce soon, to ensure our representation is authentic and to tap into their outreach efforts to find people who may appreciate seeing accurate depictions of TS on screen. We all have felt isolated and a longing to belong feeling that we are too strange to fit in. We aren't trying to differentiate their experience of having TS, but rather we are showing just how normal their experiences coming of age are. It is not the TS that doesn't make you unable to belong, but it's what everyone feels. We want to humanize something often misunderstood.
If this is important to you, we need your help to tell this story. Please donate today.
hank you so much for coming to our page and being a part of the initial campaign to get FRiCK! Green lit. We’ve made tremendous strides behind the scenes and are building a network of professionals and collaborators that are working hard on getting FRiCK! made.
