Mission Statement

Stories of duets are often told through the lens of romance or familial ties which often leaves other important connections untold. Twin Vision understands this gap so we challenged ourselves to find stories with a non-traditional chemistry and an intimacy not commonly addressed between men.

The Story

There’s a specific kind of silence between men who used to love each other like brothers. It’s not always violent. I It’s not always loud. But it can be devastating.

Friendly Fire follows Gabriel and Reed, once inseparable in boyhood, who reunite at a house party after months apart. What begins as small talk outside on a New York night quickly spirals into something neither of them are prepared for.

A hypothetical question.

A defensive answer.

A memory neither of them healed from.

As the party noise fades behind them, years of unspoken resentment surface. They circle each other through accusation, humor, tenderness, and anger; discovering that the version of their friendship they’ve been clinging to may no longer exist.

It’s a story about two men who care deeply and don’t know how to say it without hurting each other. Sometimes the hardest thing to admit isn’t that someone hurt you. It’s that you miss them.

Why This Story?

We are living in a time where men are told to “open up”, but rarely shown how.

So many male friendships are built on humor, shared experiences, and loyalty, yet collapse under the weight of unspoken emotion. Resentment grows quietly. Apologies go unsaid. Pride replaces vulnerability.

We wanted to tell a story that sits inside that discomfort.

Not a sensational story.

Not a violent one.

But one that feels painfully recognizable.

Friendly Fire examines the emotional repression many young men carry, the pressure to be composed, productive, strong and how that pressure slowly erodes intimacy. Set against the restless energy of New York City, Friendly Fire is an intimate, 15-minute dramatic confrontation exploring masculinity, vulnerability, pride, and the painful evolution of male friendship.

This film asks: When you realize a relationship has changed… Do you fight for it? Or let it go?

Why Us?

Twin Vision, composed of Christine Arquero and Hector Sanchez Jr, is a filmmaking duo striving to create arthouse films that are genre-bending and explore the complexities of the human condition. Twin Vision was made to tell intimate stories about identity, connection, and emotional complexity.

Project Feel is a NYC-based, Latinx-owned multimedia production company committed to creating space for artists of all kinds to grow, collaborate, and lead with purpose.  Everything created, from films to immersive events, is rooted in the idea: storytelling can build community, spark connection, and move culture forward.

Like many people young adults, we have experienced friendships that felt permanent, until they weren’t. We’ve experienced the confusion of loving someone deeply while simultaneously resenting them. We’ve lived the silence that grows when vulnerability feels unsafe.

Together, we are committed to portraying male vulnerability without romanticizing or trivializing it.

This isn't a spectacle.

It’s emotional truth.

Why Now?

Conversations around masculinity are shifting, but representation often swings between extremes. We rarely see two men speak honestly about how they’ve hurt each other without physical violence or caricature. In a world that moves fast, relationships dissolve without closure every day. Texts go unanswered. Pride wins. Years pass.

This story captures that exact moment: the crossroads.

Now feels urgent because so many people in their 20s and 30s are navigating this emotional transition:

Who am I becoming?

Who are you becoming?

Do we still fit in each other’s lives?

Meet the Crew!

Christine Arquero - DIRECTOR, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, WRITER

Christine Arquero is a self-taught writer-director from Queens, New York. She is an avid storyteller exploring the complexity of realism and showing characters who navigate their triumphs alongside their hardships to connect with the audience more deeply. Her directorial debut short film “Seen” premiered at American Film Market and won the award for Best Short in the Spotlight International Film Festival. Through an innovative lens, she creates pieces that embody fragments of her playful imagination which focuses on themes of  identity, fulfillment, and transformation.

Anthony Alvarez - ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, PRODUCER

Anthony Alvarez is a Queens-born filmmaker and producer, and Co-Founder of Project Feel, where he and his team create film and events rooted in culture, community, and empathy. After initially pursuing medicine, he pivoted into filmmaking with a belief that stories can do more than entertain, they can shift what we feel, what we notice, and how we move through the world. Whether in narrative, documentary, or branded work, Anthony approaches every project as a chance for art to create change in ourselves and, by extension, in society.

Joseph Gonzalez - DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, PRODUCER

Jo King celebrates his second partnership with Twin Vision, having previously captured their first film, Seen, and continuing a long-time collaboration with Project Feel. His work appears on HBO’s Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show, Sony Music Japan, the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, and the Pop-Tarts Bowl, including the Silver ADDY Award–winning “Poppenheimer” campaign spot, which he edited. He is also a Producer and Cinematographer for JG Media Group, where he develops and leads authentic, human-centered stories across narrative, documentary, and branded film.

Daniela Cordero - ASSISTANT PRODUCER

Daniela Cordero Díaz is a Brooklyn-based multimedia artist from Caguas, Puerto Rico, whose work is rooted in the resilience and complexity of Boricua identity. Raised by a dancer and a musician, she approaches art as both inheritance and responsibility, using dance, film, writing, and performance to uplift marginalized voices within the Latine community. Surviving Hurricane María and growing up in a colonized Puerto Rico deeply inform her exploration of vulnerability, womanhood, and cultural memory. Through her practice, she creates work that is tender, loud, and unapologetically true.

Project Feel - PRODUCTION COMPANY
