Mission Statement

Genesis & The Seeds is more than a sci-fi film; it explores humanity’s resilience and capacity for love in the face of adversity, as well as the impact we have on our world. Join us in bringing this vision to life and planting the seeds for a better world.

The Story

In a past where humanity on Mars was consumed by hatred, Adam and Eve, the last two humans with love in their souls, are chosen by Druid Genesis to escape the dying, polluted, warfare-driven planet and prove the inherent goodness of humanity in a neighboring world.

Unfortunately, she is faced with the threat of power-hungry autocrats, The Prime Minister of Tharsis Rise, and President Kolbur of Alba Mons, who risk destroying her entire mission. They believe heirs, Eve and Poche, should partake in the journey to maintain royal bloodlines. Genesis is appalled by this idea, but the Prime Minister and President Kolbur force her hand because they are funding this operation. When Poche discovers Adam will be taking his place, Genesis realizes it’s now or never and prepares the launch sequence immediately. Will the couple be able to plant the seed of love on the new planet? Or will the Prime Minister and President Kolbur intercept Genesis' mission to secure a new beginning for humanity?

MARS is the native planet to the human species in this story. The planet was once a lush, healthy, and fruitful paradise, similar to that of the modern Earth. Humanity sprouted in the same way that it did in our history. Stone age, Bronze age, Iron age. All the same. Humanity is believed to have started in purity, until the traits of greed and hatred formed like a cancer within the martian humans. Pollution and warfare for century after century began weathering Mars of it’s blue and green beauty, turning it to the red rock of desolation. In the modern day of the story, people are suffering and dying at accelerating rates by the fires and smog of human hatred and conflict. This planet, is hopeless...

Behind-the-Scenes of 2024 Chapman Virtual Production "Outerwest"

In collaboration with Chapman University’s innovative Virtual Production and VFX programs, Genesis & The Seeds aims to create an exceptionally immersive and realistic setting at the student level. Our production seamlessly combines live-action and digital elements using cutting-edge technology, including Motion Tracking, Color Syncing, and DMX Lighting, to project real-time 3D environments onto an LED panel wall. By blending these virtual techniques with practical elements such as detailed stage builds, breathtaking beach locations, dynamic lighting, and thoughtfully designed costumes, Genesis & The Seeds hopes to create a cinematic experience that feels both grounded in reality and breathtakingly otherworldly.

Production Design by Gaby Guimaraes. Concept Art by Kyran Brown

Our sets are intricately designed not only to reflect the unique world-building aspects of our story but also to convey a deeper sense of our characters' morals. We will be building the Tharsis Rise Royal Hall set, where Genesis is reprimanded by authorities, and a Launch Bay, where the interstellar seed takes off on the LED wall. Everything from the sets to the specific props and weapons, and even the uniquely designed costumes, requires the right materials and supplies to bring the world to life. A huge chunk of our budget is allocated for all the construction needs and outsourced props.

The visual storytelling of our film is at the forefront of our creative vision. By combining the LED wall’s innovative technology with dynamic lighting and camera techniques, we aim to create seamless transitions between reality and the on-screen environment. With your support, we can secure essential equipment and ensure every shot elevates the story, blending practical and virtual elements into a truly immersive experience.

In a world where issues like international conflicts and climate change have dominated headlines for as long as we can remember, this story captures the urgent need to move beyond cycles of violence and develop a profound respect for our planet. It speaks to the senselessness of destruction and the importance of understanding that the Earth’s well-being is inherently tied to our own.

This film also tells the story of individuals who are passionately committed to creating a better world, challenging those who cling to power with selfish motives. As our generation steps into a world at a critical juncture for both the environment and global politics, it’s vital that we champion a future that prioritizes humanity’s collective good over personal gain. This film is a call to action—a reminder that standing up for a sustainable, peaceful future means having the courage to resist those who put their interests above the welfare of all.

It takes more than a person to bring this story to life, which is why we need YOUR help.

Locations: While most of our film will be shot on the state-of-the-art LED wall, one key scene requires a beach location to capture the raw emotions and natural beauty as Adam and Eve land on a fruitful Earth after surviving a dying planet. Beach permits, gear insurance, and any additional state-required personnel make this a significant part of our budget.

Stunts: Stunts are a major element of our story. To ensure the safety of our cast and crew, we are hiring experienced actors and a professional SAG-AFTRA stunt coordinator to choreograph these sequences. Safety is our top priority, and we aim to allocate resources to help executing these intricate action scenes responsibly.

Cast & Crew: The heart of any film lies in its people. Our talented cast and hardworking crew bring the story to life through their passion and expertise. Supporting them means providing fair compensation, quality meals, and the tools they need to create something extraordinary.
