The Story
Good Luck for Now is a dramedy musical starring Abhi the Nomad. It follows about a once-viral rapper in his thirties, who gets one last shot at a record deal of his dreams—if he can pull together a band at the 11th hour and deliver the show of his life.
THE MUSIC
We are incredibly excited to have Abhi on board this project – not only is he portraying the lead role of Anil, he's also a producer and the music supervisor for the film. The film will feature an original soundtrack and live band performances performed in collaboration with independent musicians. Music isn’t just a backdrop—it’s the heartbeat of the film. Every song will be written, rehearsed, and performed by the actors and musicians themselves.

STYLE AND APPROACH
Good Luck for Now draws inspiration from Dogme 95—raw, intimate, and actor-focused. We’re working with a small, agile crew, using natural light, real locations, and minimal gear to stay resourceful and close to the characters. This stripped-down style lets us capture the urgency, tension, and beauty of a band on the edge, with authenticity at the heart of every frame.
DIRECTORS' NOTE
Good Luck for Now is our debut feature film, a story we have poured our hearts into. Every dollar we raise will go directly toward bringing this vision to life—paying our indie cast, crew, keeping them well fed, securing locations, paying for equipment, and overall making sure the people who help tell this story are well taken care of.
At its core, Good Luck for Now is about an artist struggling to keep their creative identity alive. We want this film to entertain, to inspire, and to remind audiences why the pursuit of art matters. Independent filmmaking is never easy, but we believe in this story and the people making it. We hope you’ll believe in it, too.
