THE HISTORY
Güicho is a 17-year-old who has been caught up in the world of drug trafficking. After a drug war arrives at his doorstep, he finds himself and his family trapped in an inescapable and life-threatening situation.
Güicho's family is comprised of his dad, a police officer, and his mother, a teacher. They both work hard to stay afloat. However, their efforts have proven to be barely enough to survive, and Güicho has to play guitar on buses to dig up as much money as he can to help.
Carmen, his mother, is the link between Gücho and his father, Jorge. She is the one in charge of keeping the house in order while working at the same time. On the other hand, Jorge risks his life in a small town that has fallen victim to his country's violence.
OUR PURPOSE
Güicho's story is just one of many in Mexico and Latin America. We are so used to living with a lump in our throats, where violence reigns and we fear the streets. We have been in a curfew for years, long before the pandemic, to ward off evil and insecurity. We know so much about it that we have forgotten compassion, and have grown cold. We no longer react and think we are lucky to be alive, but do we really live when fear kills us every day?
Stories like this are never heard, never known. With this project, we seek to change this. We are the representation and the voice of those who are forgotten.

CREW
We are a Latino-only production because we want to represent our stories and our conflicts. Often, violence is not experienced in the same way or for the same causes outside of Latin America.
In addition to being a completely Latino crew, we have decided that all department heads will be made up of women, seeking to give voice and opportunity to those who, thanks to a system full of misogyny, usually do not have the opportunity to lead this type of project.
OUR HEART
The heart of this project is found in its people and the values it defends. It is in being the rallying cry for those who have no voice and raising what represents us, which is love, family, and the warmth of our people. Values we once held are lost as we grow, and as our countries collapse, they wither in our hearts. Our purpose is to bring that light back to people and show that no one is alone, but that we are all here to make a change.
THE PANDEMIC
For almost a year now, the whole world stopped, and with it our work. These are difficult times, and carrying out a project of this scale becomes complicated by the number of people involved. We take this issue very seriously, and we are considering all the necessary measurements so that we have a safe set, we have a healthy distance, and all the people who are on set have tested negative for Covid-19. We consider being quarantined before and after the set, and it will be mandatory to have a mask during the set.
