From the writer: Like most women I know, I’ve navigated unwanted sexual advances. I realize that sharing my frustrations and anger with other women made me feel better, less ashamed. I wrote this film because most of the time justice is not served and that collective rage has to go somewhere.

The Story
The CLIFF'S NOTES on why we are excited to make this film and why we hope you’ll help us in creating it:
*Female RAGE IS POWERFUL and under-explored.
*All of our characters are in their 30s and 40s. Most assault victims are portrayed as girls and young women.
*Humor (though sometimes off color) is a common way that women deal with tough stuff in life - SO WHY NOT ON FILM?
*#MeToo
*This film is not focused on the assault itself but how women deal with trauma in different ways. And how this kind of assault can affect FEMALE RELATIONSHIPS.
“He Was Asking For It” gives voice to the range of feelings that many women have felt, but were too ashamed to share. It is a dark, twisted and PROVOCATIVE revenge fantasy for all the women we know who have been assaulted both verbally and physically, especially the ones who got raped, and the men who got away with it.
