I AM THALENTE, the story of Thalente Biyela's journey form the streets of South Africa to the skateparks of LA, was successfully funded on Seed&Spark. Now, because of the amazing support of its backers and other sponsors, it's headed out into the world!

About This Team
DIRECTOR : Natalie Johns
Johns is the founder of Dig for Fire, a new venture in storytelling and film, tailored for the digital age. Natalie has spearheaded/collaborated on hundreds of long form music film projects around the world with artists such as Jay-Z, The Rolling Stones, Gorillaz, John Legend & The Roots, Lenny Kravitz, REM, Spiritualized, Morrissey and many more. Amongst her credits, project accolades include Best Commissioned program on the multichannels in the UK for The MTV Nike Freestyler TV Documentary, a Billboard Women in Music nomination and an OMMA Award for the FADER +Nikesportswear Pitch Perfect documentary series, as well as a Gold at the Digital Impact Awards, for “Music for RAIN”– an artistic collaboration for Coca Cola’sThe Replenish Africa Initiative, devoted to supplying clean water to Africans.
PRODUCER: Colin Kennedy
Colin has been skateboarding for nearly twenty-five years and making films for more than fifteen. He has worked with a myriad of professional and amateur skateboarders including Tony Hawk, Steve Berra, Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez, Rob Dyrdek, Daewon Song and countless others. Additionally, Colin has created award winning commercials, short films and branded content for Gatorade, Fuel TV, Redbull, Nike, Matix Clothing, DVS Shoes, ESPN and Quiksilver. Last year, Vimeo.com selected his short film "Quik" for it's coveted Top 12 Videos of 2012. Currently, Colin lives in Los Angeles with his wife and kids and works as the VP of Creative for TheBerrics.com where he focuses on branded content.
PRODUCER: Oualid Mouaness
Oualid Mouaness has produced numerous commercials and music videos with RSA/Black Dog Films Films, HSI Productions and Anonymous Content collaborating with directors Floria Sigismondi, David LaChapelle, Jonas Ackerlund, Robert Hales, and Meiert Avis among others. Mouaness’ independent documentary and narrative feature works include KITCHEN PRIVILEGES aka HOUSEBOUND (SXSW 2000), RIZE (Sundance 2005), and PARIS, NOT FRANCE (2009). His directing work includes shorts films and promos. Up next is a feature film titled "1982" which he wrote and is slated to direct in 2014. He is a RAWI / SUNDANCE Screenwriting Lab Fellow.
