The Story

Told through the eyes of attraction engineer John Baxter, we begin the story as John packs up his company’s studio, surrounded by the remnants of a dream once shared with his best friend and business partner, Morgan Rohde. His wife, Sammy Baxter, also mourns the loss of her brother, while the future of the Baxter-Rohde Company is on the brink of collapse.
Then comes Ken Gurr, their longtime manager and a seasoned veteran in the attractions industry. He offers a rare opportunity: a chance to pitch a concept for the revival of Wonderworld. An abandoned 1950s theme park founded by Marc Broggie, the very man who once inspired John and Morgan to pursue their careers.
John sees this as a chance to bring purpose back to his life. However, his self-doubt and reluctance to rely on the people around him hold him back. As John prepares for the pitch, he is forced to discover what brought him to his work in the first place: the dream of inspiring others.

John Baxter
John was always more grounded and logistical, while Morgan embodied the creative spark. Their dynamic made each other stronger. After Morgan’s death, John is distant and left questioning how he can carry on without him. His journey is about reclaiming his “spark” and learning to trust in the people around him.
Sammy Rohde-Baxter
An artist and designer. She works as a conceptual artist for the Baxter-Rohde Company and freelances as an illustrator. She’s married her late brother Morgan Rohde’s best friend, John Baxter. Sammy is Deaf and communicates in American Sign Language (ASL). Her visual intuition and emotional clarity bring depth to her creative process.
Ken Gurr
A seasoned amusement park professional and a very kind and light-hearted mentor. Ken has been with the Baxter-Rohde Company since its founding. To him, John, Sammy, and the late Morgan Rohde are his family.
Harriet Blair
Daughter of the founder of Wonder Pictures, Marc Broggie. She grew up walking in her father’s footsteps, inspired by his passion for Wonderworld. With the revival of Wonderworld, Harriet is very protective of this project and stands in front of John and Morgan's dream.
Marc Broggie
Inspired by Uncle Walt himself, a creative visionary and entrepreneur, Marc was the founder of Wonder Pictures. His passion project was to create the world’s first theme park. He broadcast this idea all over the world. Inspiring people all over the world that magic is not limited to imagination, he eventually created the first ever Wonderworld. This park was unfortunately closed due to a lack of growth and expansion.

Our story focuses on Attraction Engineers and is really a love letter to the creatives behind the Disney Parks. People who had a dream and the courage to do the impossible. Creating a place that has inspired people across the world. In a time when artists and creatives are lost and forgotten amongst the thousands of generative "art" spread across the internet, Imagine Tomorrow shines a spotlight on artists and the people who have been a part of these creative industries.
We're motivated to make this film authentic to all audiences. Sammy's deaf experience felt like a natural inclusion in our story, and we're committed to working with the deaf community and a team dedicated to authentically presenting ASL in this film.

To make this project possible, we're looking for creatives, theme park fans, and anyone who wants to support our dream! Our campaign goes towards the big three aspects of production.
Pre-Production: The fun (but very stressful) stage... where our team comes together to prepare for this film actually to happen. This is where casting, design, locations, and much more take place. An integral part of our film is Production Design, building out miniature models, hiring artists to produce concept art to visualize the park, and designing the entire set. We want you to see the creative process behind theme park design within this film.

Production: This is when we make it happen! The entire team will come together for several days and long hours to create this film. That means we'll need to budget in rentals, equipment, and making sure our crew is well fed and protected! Production will begin in Fall 2026, and we plan to debut the film in November at the 2026 Issaquah Film Festival.
Post-Production: The score, VFX, animation, editing, sound design, and so much more go into the room where it happens. We want to ensure that the project you'll see is the best we can create with your support.

We thank you for taking the time to support our project in little and big ways! This is ultimately a story about creativity, identity, and legacy. John Baxter represents the dreamer in all of us!
We understand this is a difficult time. If you're unable to provide financial support, please consider supporting us in other ways by sharing the campaign on social media and with your friends and family!
All project updates will be shared on our Instagram, @imaginetomorrowfilm! Please check out @tarot77productions for our other original projects, and follow the Imagine Tomorrow Seed & Spark for updates.
On behalf of our team, thank YOU for helping this dream of mine come to life!
