Am I normal? Am I lovable? Did he hear me fart? These are questions we all ask ourselves. Each episode of INTERROBANG features a different couple, each asking themselves and their partners those questions at a super vulnerable moment, when they're naked and sweaty. Really? Yep. Right after sex.

Mission Statement

Sex isn’t just for skinny, white, cis-straight people. That's the core of my mission for INTERROBANG. I'm casting actors of all races, genders, sexual orientations, and body types (not just for "very special episodes"), hiring crew from diverse backgrounds. Plus, I, a woman, am in charge of it all!

The Story

When you really think about it, sex is weird. Most of us spend our days actively worried about how we present to other people. We try to look our best, think before we speak, keep our expulsion of bodily fluids to ourselves, and remain fully dressed. But during sex, all that goes out the window. Two (or more) people get naked in front of each other, grunt, moan, spit, shout X-rated orders, and rub up against each other with no second thoughts about the usual rules of decorum (except farting; that’s basically always embarrassing).

But all the sweaty, queefing, “choke me daddy,” things that happen during the heat of passion can be excused by the, well, the heat of passion.

It’s the things that happen after right sex that can be the weirdest, scariest, and most soul-bearing moments of all. Whether we’re curled up with a partner or fumbling to find our clothes, we have to reconcile that wild part of ourselves with the inhibitions we carry around with us every other moment of the day.

It’s a time when being open and honest might be tempting – we’ve just literally bared it all physically, so why not do it intellectually too – but also terrifying - because what if that person we love (or just like enough to have sex with) finds that our quirks make us fundamentally unlovable?!

I’ve created INTERROBANG to highlight and find the humor in those anxiety provoking moments where being emotionally naked is more terrifying than being physically naked.

EPISODES

Season 1 of INTERROBANG will feature 6 episodes, each between 5 and 8 minutes long, and though none of the couples will recur, all the episodes will be tied together with the common question: "Am I Lovable?" - in a variety of tense, relatable, irreverent, and hilarious ways.

Episode 1: “The Motion in the Ocean”
Even though Ron is giving it his all with his oral skills, Alana needs a little help in the orgasm department. She grabs a vibrator, which Ron is all for until he sees it. Ron wonders if he's enough while Alana wonders why her pleasure is suddenly all about Ron.

Episode 2: “The First Fart”
There comes a time in every serious relationship when you pass gas in front of one another. And it’s mortifying. But when Jackie lets one rip for the first time, it sparks a contest of one-upsmanship where each of them try to downplay their own gross habits.

Episode 3: "'Threesome'"

You’d think that if you had sex with someone, you’d know whether they were attracted to you. But Trevor and Josh are a special case. They’re best buds who have just had a threesome with a girl. While she showers, they try to broach the question of whether the girl was the real impetus behind their sexual escapade. And if she wasn’t, maybe it was each other. But how do you even begin to ask that question - do you like me?

Episode 4: "All of You"

Sometimes sex feels like another world, a place where you exist outside your body, so maybe you feel safe to throw words around. Words like: "You’re perfect;” “I love you;” and “I want all of you.” Mark tells Jessica all those things in the heat of passion and instead of letting them lie, Jessica asks Mark if he meant them because just the other day, he told her that he wasn't sure if he wanted to marry her. What does "all of you" mean to him? What's the line between sex and real life? Or does that line even exist?

Episode 5: "Business/Pleasure"

When someone doesn’t show the right amount of enthusiasm for something that you’re super enthusiastic about, it can be maddening. Erin is a struggling painter in a relationship with Maggie, a well-manicured businesswoman with money to spare. Maggie has always said she loves Erin's paintings, but now Erin is asking Maggie to put her money where her mouth is and Maggie has to make a choice aboutis about the desire to “fake it” for your partner, whether that’s an orgasm or your admiration of your partner’s passion outside of the bedroom and the consequences of those decisions.

Episode 6: "High School Reunion"

When you’ve known someone for a while and then you have sex with them, you’re sharing your truest, most naked self, right? Rita and Alfie were unlikely acquaintances in high school - Rita was effortlessly popular and Alfie was your garden variety nerd. They meet up again at their 10 year reunion, a lot worse for the wear, and, each seeking solace in the other, fall into bed (or really, onto Rita's threadbare couch) together. As soon as they finish, Alfie reveals to Rita that he essentially has put her on a pedestal and that he views his sleeping with her as a victory. He intends this to be a compliment, but the more he talks, the more Rita realizes that he doesn't know her at all. How can Alfie prove his love to Rita, but more importantly, how can Rita reconcile having shared an intimate act with someone who she realizes doesn't know her intimately at all?

Paige Feldman

writer/director/producer

When my great-great-grandfather arrived in New York City after escaping the pogroms in
Russia, he plopped a wad of cash on the counter at Grand Central Station and asked for a ticket
for as far as that money would get him. It got him to St. Louis, Missouri, which is where I was
born and raised. This same sense of adventure my Zayde’s* father had is hereditary. I aspire to
be as fearless as he was with the knowledge that if nothing else, risk makes a great story.

In high school, I was a contestant on the Jeopardy! Teen Tournament the last season Alex
Trebek had a mustache. That following summer, when I was 17, I came to Los Angeles,  talked my way onto the Universal Studios lot and fell in love with the film industry.

Now, I have a B.A. in Critical Studies from the University of Southern California's School of
Cinematic Arts and a J.D. from Northwestern University’s School of Law. While in law school, I
discovered I cared more about the stories I was outlining in the margins of my Powerpoint
handouts than about the cases I was supposed to be learning. I realized storytelling was more
than an interest, it was a true passion.**

From 2012 through 2018, I worked as an Acquisitions and Development Executive at an
international film sales agency and production company. While there, I learned the ins and outs
of independent film production and financing and have become an expert on film festivals and
the international market. I also wrote a lot of scripts.

A corporate restructuring at the company I worked for seemed like a sign that I should take the leap into not just writing, but producing and directing as well. I’m starting with INTERROBANG, a concept close to my heart about a topic that’s both fun and funny.

*Zayde is Yiddish for grandfather, but it’s what I called my great-grandfather growing up.
**Some people backpack through Europe to find themselves; I went to law school.
