The Story
A slightly dysfunctional, yet successful restaurant staff, treats tiny problems like life-or-death, spiraling into cinematic chaos.
I love to laugh. I love the stupid things that often set us off — I think that’s hilarious.
As some of you may know, my wife and I own Actor’s Arsenal. For the last 14 years, we’ve been teaching some lovely human beings the craft of acting… or how we like to define it (totally stealing this from Sanford Meisner): “the ability to live truthfully in imaginary circumstances.”
Some of these amazing humans are pretty damn funny. So we decided to get everyone together and make a show that has been brewing for years. Buckle up because we can't wait to show you what we've been cooking and invite you to the table (using as many food analogies as possible.)
Let's face it, the world is not the most hilarious place at the moment. We all need to laugh. In fact, it is really true that laughter is medicine. And we need that medicine like...yesterday. How do we do this? Well....
I started thinking—what if we took these people and tossed them into a series that gives someone the gift of laughter? Don’t we all need that right now?
With Jazzy Bites, I guarantee these crazy, lovable, unique, out-of-their-mind characters will at least put a smile on your face 🙂
This ensemble cast has been building over the last 14 years. The chemistry, the love for each other, the sense of humor every person brings is contagious. It's time that we make a show to share their talent with the world while bringing a smile to YOUR face.
The crew we have is TOP NOTCH. Lighthouse films is a trusted production company right here in Wilmington (Runarounds on Amazon? Drought from the Duplass Bros? Yeah - Brad shot those...) We couldn't ask for a better team to make this happen.
Where will the money go??
We have been managing micro budget films for over 10 years now! This means we take care of every dollar that is given and make it really go to essential items. Check out our wish list for a overview of the budget breakdown.
When we get down to it, it covers all the logistics and pays our cast & crew (something we really value!)

- Props, costumes & set design
- Contingency (you know we have combed the budget but always something pops up unexpected and we will be prepared for that!)
It takes a team of people to pull this off and we want YOU to be a part of that team! Our community here in Wilmington, NC is incredible & has shown up to support indie film in so many ways. We believe being a part of something from the ground up is pretty amazing. You'll be a critical piece of sharing laughter (remember literal medicine) to so many people who really need it right now.
We need your support to shoot the pilot episode of this series. Once we have that, we have plans to get in front of some pretty big names to fully fund the rest of the series. We've been working hard and already have the first season ready to go!

About This Team
My wife and I have owned an acting studio for over 14 years, and in that time we’ve had the privilege of working with a lot of incredible actors and crew. Many of the people in this project are our students -- artists we’ve watched grow, take risks, and truly come into their own. I wrote these roles specifically with them in mind because they are not only incredibly talented, but also funny, fearless, and genuinely brilliant. I’m so proud to have them as part of this team.
