The Story
Shortly after Jimmy loses his job and finalizes his divorce, he learns he inherited a run-down bar in Southwest Florida. He quickly finds out that trying to sell it and get back to the Midwest won't be that easy. The combination of running into business roadblocks, dealing with a dysfunctional staff, and trying to start over in life, definitely poses more obstacles than he bargained for! But Jimmy slowly discovers that the life he never considered was the one he needed the most.

Why Us?
The independent film industry in Southwest Florida is growing by leaps and bounds. Our local film group, the United Film and Television Artists in Fort Myers, FL has produced numerous films, many of which have gone on to win awards locally, nationally, and even internationally. With a cast, crew, and locations across the area, we are bringing the passion of filmmaking and also supporting our community.





Why Now?
What better time than now to collaborate on this adventure and bring the magic and art of a sitcom to life? We have the pieces to put together a remarkable pilot as well as an entire first season. And with your support, we can take it to completion

HOW CAN I HELP, YOU ASK?
We do have a portion of the costs already covered but we also need support and that's where you come in.
There are some wonderful incentives for you to be a part of the production and help us reach the finish line.
Any amounts over our campaign goal up to $20,000 will be distributed as follows:
50% invest in additional production costs
50% distributed equally among the cast and crew
Example - 125% of goal achieved - $2,875.00
$1,437.50 - Added to production costs to add crew, more equipment, props, etc.
$1,437.50 - Divided equally between cast and crew
25 cast and crew members - $57.50 each extra on top of their pay.
Any funds over the $20,000 will go towards the 2nd of 6 episodes.

About This Team
Marilu Garbi is a Venezuelan-born filmmaker, writer, and performer whose work spans across journalism, film, and the performing arts. With a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the Universidad Central de Venezuela and an Associate of Applied Science in Film and TV Production, Marilu has cultivated a diverse career that reflects her passion for storytelling and the arts. Not only being an active member of the local community improv group, but she has also been involved award winning short films in various capacities including, Roses Are Blind (2017), Father Nose Best (2024), as well as many others.

Jeff has always been intrigued in different genres of tv movies to spark creativity. After high school Jeff joined the U.S. Army traveling the world while always trying to keep high moral by entertaining his fellow soldiers. He was been involved in stand-up comedy which led to his real passion of screenwriting. He spent the better part of three years learning the craft. In that time he wrote his first screenplay called “A Summer to Remember” which is based on childhood memories of summer camp. He has been in various roles, learning many different aspects of film. He has written and been a part of awarding winning short films including The Last Laugh (2024 Finalist) and Thank You For Being A Friend (2022 Best Short Film Bonita Springs Short Film Festival)
Stephan Schonberg, a technologist at heart, has been interested and involved in video production and film-making for many years, starting with television production in high school. Stephan has written, filmed, edited and directed award-winning short films. In partnership with the Fort Myers-based United Film and Televisions Artists, Stephan has also been a crew member on numerous local productions over the past decade. Some films include The Last Laugh (2024), Father Nose Best (2024), That's What Friends are For (2023), and Passing By (2023).
