The Story

June is an unconventional and humorous story about a girl and her rock. The film follows Enya, who's only friend is her childhood pet rock, June. They are thicker than thieves! A dynamic duo! And have been inseperable since June's creation. When June is kidnapped Enya is willing to do anything to get her best friend back. The investigation takes her from neighbor to neighbor where she finds clues that lead to her uncovering someting truly diabolical.

The film has an eccentric and offbeat tone that is something similar to Greener Grass with a dash of Twin Peaks and a whole lot of rocks. We have a focus on a strong visual style that will showcase the distinct neighborhood of June. This strangly perfect world will come to life through bright colors and creative production design that will set the tone of this film apart.

June is a film that explores ideas of growing up and letting go through the eyes of Enya and her neighbors in a rather new and unique way. When Enya witnesses the lengths her neighbors are willing to go to cling to their childhood, it prompts her to look inside herself and decide if she wants to be just another part of the cycle. We want to share this story because self-reflection is necessary for growth - so why not try and find a little humor in it?
This is a film about honoring your inner-child. Finding the healthy balance between who you were then and who you are now. At its core, June is the story of self-reflection through loss.

Our campaign is to raise $3,000 in 30 days!
We are currently in the pre-production phase of the project, which means we are preparing our cast and crew for the upcoming shoot!
The money you donate will go towards helping the film with equipment, locations, permits, production design, costumes, and catering. When it comes to making a movie, every dollar counts.

Our goal is to have this film reach and connect with a vast audience. We will be submitting this film to festivals that support comedic voices and understand our offbeat humor. We believe that JUNE is a fun, compelling, and unique story that will make this film a strong contender in the festival circuit. By investing in this short film, you will be providing us with the best possible chance to have a successful festival run and to share this story with a larger audience.
Thank you for being part of this campaign and helping us make this film come to life!
