The Story

THE STORY

It's Los Angeles, 1987. Sally is turning 30. And she's freaking out. She invites her sister, Laurie, and best friend, Tina, over for a wild night. Laurie and her husband are ready to start a family, Tina was recently promoted and moving out of state, and Sally is fresh out of a breakup... it is their LAST CHANCE to really party together! There's only one problem: they run out of booze. Sally suggests going over to her attractive neighbor's house but when he's not home, they decide to break in and quickly realize they are in over their heads...

WHERE WE'RE AT

We have completed production on LAST CHANCE and are looking to raise funds for post-production. Fortunately, we were able to fund most of this short film on our own, but need your help in crossing the finish line. We want our first short film to be something we can be proud of and give it the finishing touches it deserves. Reaching our goal will allow us to:

  • Complete sound mixing (to make it sound good!)
  • Color-correction (to make it look good!)
  • Music rights for the film (to make it feel good!)
  • Pay our editor (to make it real good!)
  • Film festival submission fees (exposure is key here, and film festivals are a great way to get our names and our work out there!)

As independent filmmakers, we understand that we will not make a profit on this film (until Netflix picks it up as a feature ;)...) but meeting our goal will allow us to pay our stellar post-production team and complete the film. This is our passion project that we have created from the ground up and appreciate your help in making our dream a reality.

Here are some ways you can help:

  • DONATE! Any amount/every dollar helps. We are so grateful for anything you can give.
  • SHARE! Please share our posts and our campaign link to your social media pages and with your friends and family!

Thank you for supporting us and supporting artists!

OUR STORY

Lyndsi LaRose and Gina Comparetto met years ago in an acting class and bonded over their shared love for acting, film and creative pursuits. In early 2020, they planned to produce and star in a play called DOLORES for the Hollywood Fringe Fest, but sadly the pandemic hit and their dreams of producing and starring in a play together were put on hold indefinitly. Not knowing what this "new normal" would bring, they shifted their focus and began writing. When they began writing LAST CHANCE, there was an ease in working together and the process lifted their spirits during an uncertain time. This story was a joy for them to write, blending their favorite genres - 80s horror and comedy - and it will no doubt be a joy to watch. They were able to bring their story to life with the help of their Director/Co-producer Anthony Fanelli and his production company, Aphotic Productions. Anthony put together an incredibly talented production team including Jay Ruggieri (Director of Photography/Cinematographer), Masaki Imai (Assistant Camera), Kevin Soto (Gaff/Lights), Marcos Velasquez (Sound), Mike Marras (Production Design), Tricia Heal (Special Effects Makeup), and Jennifer Cabezas and Maryann Yee (Hair and Makeup).
