The Story
What is "Late Night in Providence"?
Late Night in Providence is a late night sketch comedy show created by Billy Connelli and Mycah Hogan in September 2024. The show contains many elements that you would see in a typical late night show: monologue jokes, guest interviews, man on the street portions, sketch videos, prizes, etc. We center our show around Providence, a city that we both love. We feature lovable RI locals, many of whom are active in a growing clown scene in the city. You're probably asking yourself, is this show funny? Is it funny?!?! Just ask renowned stand up comedian Steven Wright:

For those that have yet to watch it, here is the latest episode:
What's Ahead?
We plan to begin production on Season 2 next month, March 2026. It will premiere this fall and feature 8 total episodes. From March until the fall (around September/October), we will be working on the writing, acting, filming, and editing of the sketch videos.
Many aspects of the show will remain the same: RI news monologue jokes, local performers (new and old faces!) in sketch videos or as characters, a local business ad, a giveaway, etc. We were able to find our structure with the first season and look to continue with it. New things will include: music from a local musician (Joe DeGeorge!), audience reactions featuring local people (our current audience cutaway is stock footage which is limiting), and episodes airing every 1.5 months (air dates currently have fluctuated between 1 to 3 months and we want to establish consistency with the fans.)
Why Do We Need Funds?
All of Season 1 was funded by me (Billy), in addition to doing the writing, directing, acting, and editing. Turns out, doing this when you have a full-time job is hard! We want to put out the episodes consistently (every 1.5 months) to continue to build our fanbase and showcase the community. What currently has been holding us back is I only have so much time to edit videos and only so much money to purchase props, costumes, etc. This funding will allow us to begin to work with an editor (working on atleast one video per episode to alleviate my editing workload), buy needed props/costumes/set pieces, and put out a quality product for you to enjoy!

For each sketch, we need to purchase and build props, dress the performers in costumes, and design the set.
