The Story
Overview
Letty & Jack Want Out is a comedy about two people, Letty and Jack. Letty’s in a bad relationship. Jack's stuck at a job that could cost him his life. Bad luck and bad life choices could mean the end for these two unless they figure out how to turn their lives around. The micro-budget feature is written and directed by David N. Reyes and is produced by X Horn Productions and Aurora’s Son Films.
This is the sixth narrative feature film from X Horn Productions. Their first five features, Trippin' to the Altar , My Ranger, Empty Nester's Handbook, Texas AF and Paw Mama were screened at film festivals across the U.S. and have won awards for Best Feature, Best Domestic Comedy, Best Actors and Best of Fest. They are available on Amazon Prime, Tubi and other streaming platforms. The goal of this project is to build upon that success while continuing to showcase Austin and Central Texas talent.
The process of making our first film was a career defining experience. We were able to use decades of production and life experiences to chase our passion of filmmaking and collaborate with some amazing Central Texas actors and artists.
This film, our sixth, will allow us to build upon that experience and those professional connections to tell a engaging, fun story audiences will enjoy and want tell their friends about.
We have a script, cast, soundtrack and are locking down locations. We work with a small, dedicated seasoned crew with decades of television and film production experience. Here’s the plan:
Pre-Production - December - March 2026
Production - Late April through May 2026
Post Production - June through September 2026
Submissions to Film Festivals - starting in October 2026
Film Festival Circuit - February 2027 through January 2028
Independently release on streaming platforms January 2028
We're ready to head into production. Your contribution will be used to directly pay our cast of talented Central Texas actors. There are eleven days of shooting planned. Your dollars help feed our cast and crew. We'll be filming all over Austin. We're making deals and calling in favors, but some locations will cost money. Your pledge helps us secure these locations.
Stretch Goals: If we surpass our goal any money will be put toward props, film festival submissions, closed captioning and marketing for a streaming release.

David N. Reyes is the writer and director, a graduate of University of Texas at Austin and has over 25 years of filmmaking experience creating commercials, music videos, documentaries and weekly television programs. Letty & Jack Want Out will be his sixth feature film.
Lisa Reyes has been a producer at X Horn Productions for over twenty years and oversees budget, locations, casting and marketing.
