The Story
It was supposed to be a heartwarming reunion...

Alex and Nicole have planned a nice dinner party.

They are hosting Nicole's old law school friend Jill for whom Nicole has not seen in a long time. Nicole is nervous, but the outwardly confident Alex says she has nothing to worry about. Unbeknownst to Alex, Jill is bringing her boyfriend Oliver to the party. Alex and Oliver went (perhaps?) to high school together and have also not seen one another in a long time.

They are not old friends, but rather old bitter enemies, according to Alex at least. To Alex, Oliver was the worst bully imaginable. To Oliver, Alex is not even a distant memory. To Oliver, at least, according to Oliver, Alex is forgotten. This does not sit well with Alex.

What follows is an escalating game between the two men in which old memories and traumas rise to the surface as their significant others reunite and try to make sense of the senselessness that they are witnessing turning what was supposed to be a nice dinner party into a very dangerous situation.

Told through a darkly comedic edge, "Long Time, No See" is a story of history, communication, trauma, pain, and memory, told through the lens of two men for whom have no idea how to express their feelings honestly and with maturity. They only know what society has taught them which is to never back down, and when that doesn't work, follow it with physical violence. They should know better.

Written during the pandemic, "Long Time, No See" was born out of desire to combine what felt like a less than discussed dark undercurrent in American society, with the hope to make a film that thrilled and created uncomfortable laughs in equal measure. Add in a dash of "I Know What You Did Last Summer," and you have a truly potent and timely film.

We are in the final stages of post-production, and need your help in getting over that last hump to UNLEASH this movie into the world. The film is currently in the sound mixing and color correction process, and we anticipate the film will be finalized by March of 2025.
We need to compensate these last contributors as well as submit to a wide variety of film festivals and that's where your financial contributions become so essential. We are so proud of this film and feel it will really make an impact upon hitting the festival world. We appreciate all of your help in getting us past these stretch goals. This film has been a labor of love for all involved, and our enthusiasm and excitement to share with the world is immeasurable.

They should have known better. They didn't.
