Lost and Found is a heartfelt family piece about what happens to a family as their father falls further into dementia. We believe this story is about so many others out there, struggling with this disease and really feel that those who watch will be moved.

The Story

Coming home to her small town family after an ugly separation with her husband, Jackie finds her mother and sister dealing with the daily struggle of her father's battle with dementia. While the family prepares George's birthday meal, he goes missing. As sisters Jackie and Charlie roam the neighborhood in search of their dad, their animosity towards each other bubbles to the surface. While the girls search, George appears in the kitchen, surprising his wife Fern with an impromptu dance, a throwback to the romance they once shared before his illness. When the family comes back together in the final moments, the heart break pervasive in all their lives abates, and they recognize, if only for an instant, the true strength of their family.

About This Team

We are so lucky to have such an incredible team for this project. We originally shot this film within the confines of a 72 hour short film challenge and we could not have done it without having such a great cast and crew. Our amazing director, Kristin Hanggi is a Tony nominated director who truly pours her soul into every project she does. This was no different. We truly believe that this film touches so many people who are affected by dementia and want to have a space to showcase that.
