Mission Statement
The Story
In a cinematic landscape often fixated on youth, "love4point50" dares to explore the uncharted territory of the second half of life; generation X is in their 50's and they're not happy about it. Through the intertwined journeys of Ellen, Ron & Megan, Jeff, and Romania, the film delves into the joys, struggles, and unexpected adventures of navigating middle age in our modern society.
love4point50 weaves four storylines from Valentines Day of 1 year to Valentines Day the next - intercutting storylines from mockumentary to dramatic.

From the challenges of single parenthood to existential crises, empty nest syndrome, and the complexities of love and reinvention, "love4point50" offers a poignant yet often humorous portrayal of life's uncertainties and triumphs.
Amidst a sea of content, "love4point50" stands out as a refreshingly authentic exploration of midlife. Its blend of heartwarming moments and sharp wit offers a compelling narrative that resonates with audiences of all ages.
By shining a spotlight on characters often overlooked in mainstream cinema, we aim to create a film that sparks meaningful conversations about aging, love, and the pursuit of happiness.
The themes explored in "love4point50" are more relevant now than ever, as society grapples with an aging population and the shifting dynamics of relationships and family structures. By crowdfunding for this project now, we seize the opportunity to amplify these conversations and inspire audiences to embrace the richness of life's second act.
We're the dream team behind "love4point50" because we're all about celebrating life's crazy journey – wrinkles, gray hairs, and all! With a mix of personal experiences and a whole lot of love for storytelling, we're the perfect crew to dish out the laughs and warm fuzzies that come with embracing life after fifty.
love4point50 - LoveTwo - Ron & Megan

25 years ago, Ron and Megan - best friends at the time, did what so often ruins a friendship - they slept together. Now, we catch up with them in the year of their 25th wedding anniversary; also the year the kids have moved out, Ron has been "retired" from his teaching job and Megan has gone back to work. As Ron drifts farther away in melancholic self reflection (or is it a mid-life crisis without the drama), Megan grasps to find something to fill the void left with an empty nest. Can they find a new relationship with each other and themselves?

This campaign is the first of five; one investment campaign for each of the 4 storylines (each shot individually on their own weekend) and a final campaign for post-production and festival costs. Pick your favourite characters/story to support - or invest a little (or a lot) in each campaign!
This campaign is specifically for LoveTwo: Ron & Megan - played by returning actors Peter Flemming (Dead Rising 2 (2010), Stargate SG-1 (1997) and I See You (2002)) and Eva DeViverous (The Good Doctor, Aurora Teagarden, and The Jim Byrnes Show) Many exciting cameos to be announced soon!
The production team will sign low-budget agreements with the unions, ensuring deferred union rates and small day rate honorariums for the cast and crew. By finding a delicate balance between passion and practicality, we ensure we will properly compensate everyone involved.
This shoot will take place June 14, 15 & 16, over one weekend.
The cast and crew are differing their fees as an investment in the project, this film being a true collaborative film in every step. The funds raised with be spent on direct costs
- Food; quality catering and craft service for the health and well-being of this community of creativity,
- Insurance; safety is of the utmost importance and every industry will be adhered to, but if an accident were to happen we want to ensure everyone is covered, As well, all of the donated equipment and locations will be insured as well.
- We already have the majority of the equipment and locations being donated, but for a few specifics we will require old fashioned cold hard cash - but it will all be on the screen!
The history - and the future.
In the vibrant city of Vancouver, back in the year 1994, a group of audacious independent filmmakers set out on a daring cinematic adventure. LOVE FOUR, a whimsical romantic comedy, captured the hearts of audiences as it depicted the lives of four spirited individuals in their twenties navigating love and life.
Fast forward three decades, and the passage of time has woven its intricate tapestry, transforming the youthful protagonists into seasoned souls in their fifties. The filmmakers, now weathered by the sands of time, find themselves drawn back to the characters they birthed, curious to witness evolving their lives.
The year is now 2024, and the air is thick with anticipation as the 30th anniversary of LOVE FOUR approaches. More than just a commemoration, it’s a grand celebration that signifies a new chapter as a sequel will bring the beloved tale to life with a breath of fresh air.
The vision remains unchanged, for the essence of the original film lies in its simplicity. The filmmakers intend to adhere to their roots, embracing the ethos of low-budget, independent filmmaking. To do that, the crew shall focus on capturing the essence of each storyline during a single weekend, a mere two and a half days. Though small, the crew shall wield the powerful iPhone Pro and the remarkable FilmicPro app to immortalize the magic on screen.
We intend to raise funds, though modest, to support this endeavor. The filmmakers, ever resourceful, seek to keep the production tight-knit, just as they did in the early days.
This campaign is the first of five; one investment campaign for each of the 4 storylines (each shot individually on their own weekend) and a final campaign for post-production and festival costs. Pick your favourite characters/story to support - or invest a little (or a lot) in each campaign!
Dear friends, please join us on this exhilarating journey and know that we cherish your interest, passion, and unwavering support.
In the realm of creativity, where dreams intertwine with reality, the filmmakers stand ready to embark on a new adventure. The unwavering dedication of those who believe in the power of love, laughter, and the magic of the silver screen shall carry forth the enduring legacy of LOVE FOUR.

My purpose is to create stores full of amazing people and places for everyone to experience and enjoy. Maybe gets them to connect to a universal truth they can resonate with.
Why? Because I can’t stop thinking about the stories in my head. Because I love turning a pile of random thoughts into a finished story. I love when my characters take over and I simply get out of their way and let them tell their stories and bring readers into a world they’ve never experienced before. I love to hear that someone read, saw or heard what I created and liked it.
My other purpose is to learn more about myself and my internal process, and to find a way to share that process and my discoveries of it with others. Both as an individual and in partnership with my loving and lovely wife, Shana.
Why? Because Shana and I worked really hard to make a really, really good relationship, full of open and honest communication and I think what we have is really special and if anyone out there could find some insights or value in what we have discovered about ourselves, that would be really great.
Oh, and be the best dad I can be and love my children unconditionally.
Why? Because the alternative isn’t something I am willing to consider.
