This is all Fran Healy's fault. When the lead singer of the multi-platinum Brit Award winning band Travis - and David's hero - tells him he'd fly to Edinburgh if he ever did the Fringe Fest, he was serious. David's wife looked at him and said "Let's do this." So off we go...

Mission Statement
The Story
15 shows in 17 days.
3,000 seats to fill.
7 performers traveling 5,000 miles away from home.
And we can't do it alone. 🫶

Each night, David Magidoff interviews a celebrity about a real love story - then he and his ensemble turn it into a fully improvised musical, right in front of you. After a three-year sold-out run in LA and a sold-out Netflix Is A Joke Fest appearance, Making Love makes its Edinburgh Fringe Festival debut. (Get your tickets here!) And we need your help spreading the love.
We're raising $15,000. Here's the breakdown:
$7,500 - Producers and promotion to help it get seen by everyone in Edinburgh - this is Jimmy Carr's team - the best in the UK!
$5,000 - PR to spread the word and get us the reviews - Brett Goldstein's PR when he did Fringe!
$2,500 - Gives each person on the 7 person team $350 towards flights, groceries, and room & board.

But wait David - aren't you making money selling tickets? Why do I need to donate at all??
GREAT QUESTION!
For example if we sell out, if all 3,000 tickets are sold, we only will cover a fraction of our cost. Because when I told everyone I was going to do Edinburgh Fringe, the first thing all my friends said was this "Oh great! How much money are you prepared to lose?" Real talk: nobody makes money at Fringe. You do it for the love. For the adventure. For the art. To share what you make to the world because we have to. Sure I have a $15,000 goal, but honestly for our entire team's costs it would add up to close to $100,000 with room, board, flights, producers and more. $15,000 would be the bare minimum so we don't cry on the way home to do this beautiful thing. And we know we can get there! We here at Making Love value artists. And we value the heart of this show. And right now we're all flying 5,000 miles away on hopes and dreams. Thanks for making love with us! 🫶
