Ladies and gentlemen, there are intruders within our great nation... Vampires - Dr. Diana Beaumont

Dr. Beaumont's Recruitment Video for the VCS
In 1960s America, an ancient threat has returned to terrorize the innocent men and women of the western world. The heroic Dr. Beaumont is at our aid. She has created the Vampire Control Service (VCS) to capture, prosecute, and...deal with these dangerous creatures.
Over a century later, Mina has grown weary of her immortality, the memories she's made and forgotten have her looking for connection and love once again. She arrives at the secluded lakehouse of a guy that she met online.

She meets Sean in person, a kind and funny man who somehow is able to afford a house of this size and value. The pair start talking and Mina soon learns that Sean works for the VCS.
Mina realizes the danger that she's in, she must find a way to leave without Sean figuring out her true identity. If he does...
She might not get out alive.

WHY US? WHY NOW?
I've always found the vampire as a creature very interesting and the stories that have been told with them have always been varied and interesting.
After the success of Sinners (2025), a very prominent vampire horror film, I wanted to take the vampire out of the horror and out of the role of antagonist.
I wanted the vampire to be the one being hunted.

Still from A Girl Walks Home At Night (2014)
We also wanted to think about the logistics of a creature that MUST kill to live and one that can live forever. Is that a life of bliss or torture and pain? One of seclusion and loneliness? How does someone deal with those feelings?
I then realized as I was writing this film that this is a story about prejudice and othering. Instead of just flipping the role of the vampire in the narrative, what if we reimagined the creature's history as propaganda? Propaganda that has been pushed by hateful people and organizations; organizations that will use this hunt and kill their chosen enemy. What if this lonely vampire meets a man who has been taught to fear and hate her?
INFLUENCE/STYLE

From Left to Right: Inglorious Basterds (2008), The Menu (2022), Kiss of The Dammed (2012)
The backdrop of the film is of course set in the world of vampires but we wanted to shift the visual style away from dark and gothic aesthetics to a warmer and more modern look. A look that seems inviting and comfortable at the beginning of the film but shifts into dark irony as dark red blood stains the warmly lit wood.
For the character of Mina, we really wanted to hone in on a strong and intelligent character who is put into a very difficult and potentially hopeless situation. Margo from The Menu (2022) was a great inspiration for this as she is capable and head-strong, even in hopeless and dangerous circumstances.
The film is mostly a tense conversation between two people and the suspense of the film largely lies on whether or not Sean knows Mina's true identity. Inglorious Basterds (2008) and especially Hans Landa's scenes were perfect inspiration for this. Someone interrogating and prodding for information while reveling in the helplessness and panic of their victim.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

BTS of the Dr. Beaumont Shoot
We are mostly fundraising to increase the production value of the film and bring it to the cinema level quality we think it deserves. Luckily, the incredible location won't need to be paid for so most of the funding would go to incredible production design. Things like their costumes, the SFX of blood, faking a stab through the heart, and much more is a major part of our budget.
Along with that, we want to rent film equipment like the Sony Fx6 and many other pieces of professional lighting, audio, and grip equipment to get the film looking and sounding as great as possible!
