The Story
(temporary poster)
Operation White Boy follows Mina - a third culture kid who is split between her American upbringing and her Iranian heritage. Though Mina is happily settled with her boyfriend Ben, and has a calm life in the States, she struggles inwardly with her cultural identity.

At the beginning of the film, Mina wakes up from a...sexy night, and is surprised by the arrival of her very Muslim grandmother, Mamanjoon. Out of fear that she won’t be accepted, or that her grandmother might disown her, or condemn her to hell, or STAY, Mina goes to EXTREME lengths to ensure Mamanjoon never meets Ben.
But Mamanjoon, like most our grandparents, probably knows more than she’s letting on and she, like Mina, will stop at nothing to achieve her goal.

Operation White Boy IS A COMEDY. However, it is also a THRILLER. This jam-packed, ridiculous, engaging, FUNNY short film will get us from Mamanjoon’s arrival to a very surprising ending, all in six minutes. Both Mamanjoon and Mina will be played by the same actress (in full prosthetics makeup) which makes gives this comedy the spunk of a 90's comedy like "Big Mama's House" or "The Nutty Professor", but with elements culture and religion.
In 2017 0% of telivision leads (across all platforms) were Middle Eastern. That number rose to 0.08% by 2019. The best part of this project, is that it will serve as a PROOF OF CONCEPT/PITCH MATERIAL for a much larger project coming 2021.
