Mission Statement

Paraguay Animation is a non profit organization who aimts to boost the animation industry in Paraguay. We do this by empowering local animators through training, mentorship, networking and various events throughout the year.

The Story

Last year, Paraguay Animation launched an immensely succesful Animation Festival. 250 people attended, 9 short films were screened, and 4 awards were given. Most importantly, animated Paraguayan stories were shared with an enthralled audience. All thanks to your support.

This year we have bigger ambitions! We're organizing both an Animation Conference AND Animation Festival all in one day. Join us in making history as we once again shine a spotlight on Paraguayan animation.

We are Paraguay Animation, a non-profit organization dedicated to nurturing and growing the animation industry in Paraguay. Since 2015, we have been offering workshops, classes, networking events, animation festivals, scholarships, and conferences to support and develop local talent.

The animation community in Paraguay is growing-- and we have to grow with it! There are hundreds of artists hungry to learn, show their work and, ultimately, join the animation industry as professionals. Throughout the years, we have observed our community grow from curious animation dabblers, to skillful, talented, mature artists who have a voice and a story to tell. Our mission is to help them take the next step in their artistic journey.

For that reason, this year we want to host a full-day Animation Conference, where Paraguayan artists can attend hands-on workshops, panels by industry professionals and have networking opportunities. We'll wrap up the conference with screenings of short films as part of the Animation Festival. By supporting us now, you are helping us create an event that will inspire and motivate the next generation of animators in Paraguay.

The Conference will take place on July 13th of this year. Your support is crucial in ensuring that we can provide a high-quality production, hire AV professionals, fly in international speakers, award prizes, and create an event that truly celebrates the hard work and creativity of our participants. This is a pivotal moment for Paraguayan animation!

Our goal of $5,000 is the bare minimum we need to greenlight the event. However, we'd love to reach the following stretch goals:

  • $6,000 -- allows us to rent AV equipment like high quality microphones, a projector and a big screen to display the shorts in the best quality.
  • $7,500 -- will let us hire a videographer and editor to record the event and also procude behind-the-scenes material to show at the Festival.
  • $9,000 -- we will be able to give away merch for atendees, so they can take a souvenir of the event.
  • $10,000 -- with this final amount, we will be able to purchase gifts of appreciation for our mentors, speakers and volunteers who made this event possible.
