The Story
Insomnia is such a lonely place. A desperate place. Functioning on no sleep makes everything and everyone worse. And LOOK worse, I mean how is Helen supposed to meet the love of her life if the circles under her eyes make her look like the crypt keeper?????!!!!! Because that’s all we are really seeking isn’t it? Love? Helen goes about her day. Her life. She becomes comfortable with everything. Even insomnia. Until she meets Larry who has WORSE insomnia than her... and he gets her. And all the late night conversations begin. And everything changes. And then you get that AMAZING night’s sleep. And for maybe the first time, you know life can be different. And you can’t go back to comfortable!

Why this film?
The Rising Insomnia Epidemic:
When you look at the data surrounding sleep disorders, it’s clear to see that insomnia is a growing problem that shows no signs of slowing down. Approximately one in four Americans develop insomnia each year and about 30% of American adults have symptoms of insomnia. This can lead to feeling isolated and not being connected in the relationships around them.
Perchance to Dream follows the story of two insomniacs and their journey that has them up in the wee hours of the night. Together they help each and find a relationship that possibly may be that true connection they've been missing in their lives that just may allow them to finally get some Zzz's.
