"Pigs"- Short-Film
Los Angeles, California | Film Short
Action, Drama
Our film is a pulpy, blood-soaked crime story with a feminist edge. Through sharp humor and violent twists, it flips the outlaw genre on its head—giving women the guns, the power, and the last word. In a world still full of toxic control, that’s a story worth telling now.

The Story
PIGS is a love letter to the kind of cinema that raised us, gritty, stylish, and unapologetic. With Tarantino flair and a sharp female perspective, it’s both an homage and a continuation of the worlds he built: fast-talking criminals, moral chaos, and unexpected heart.
Set in a vintage diner, it starts as a classic crime caper, charm, tension, a robbery gone sideways, but beneath the surface, it’s about power, betrayal, and survival told through women who’ve finally taken the wheel.

The short follows two sisters, Virginia and Billie, who are pulled back into the orbit of their charming but dangerous father, Lansky, for what’s supposed to be one last heist. Alongside their oddball crew, including the soft-hearted Joey and the volatile Bugs, things quickly spiral out of control.

For as long as I can recall, I always had those stories that I wished to share with the world, stories that would entertain or make a difference. And for the longest time, I thought this industry was out of reach for someone like me. Until I decided to give myself a chance. This project will be my first after two years of studying acting and filmmaking. The first of many more, I hope... "Pigs" resonates with me, what I have experienced, and the story of many other women around me. PIGS isn’t just my story, it’s ours. Behind this film is a tight crew of women who’ve poured their talent, resilience, and voices into every detail. I'd be glad to tell this story, with heart, grit, and truth.

Our motive
Beneath the style and danger, this story is about reclaiming strength. It’s about finding a voice in the middle of the noise — and using it to change the rules.
This is our moment
The world is paying attention to new voices and new visions, and we’re ready to take our shot. PIGS is more than a story about crime and revenge, it’s about reclaiming the frame, one scene at a time.
If you believe in bold storytelling, in complex women who lead the chaos, and in films that leave a mark — this is your moment to help make one.

Our heist
At the end of the day, we’re a group of film lovers chasing the thrill of making something wild, risky, and unforgettable. We love the smell of fake blood, the chaos of a 3 a.m. shoot, the magic of seeing our story come alive on screen.
This campaign isn’t just about raising money, it’s about building a crew of movie lovers, like us, who want in on the ride.
Every film is a little like a heist: it takes planning, passion, and a fearless team.
Will you be part of it?
Our plan
We are in the pre-production phase. We have gathered a trusted crew and a talented cast and have sharpened our script! This campaign will fund our next step: production. Every dollar goes directly toward creating the world of the film — from securing our diner location and vintage set design, to gear rentals, costumes, lighting, and post-production editing.
Once funded, we’ll move quickly:
- Production: A 5-day shoot in Los Angeles with our full cast and crew.
- Post-production: Editing, color, and sound design to give the story its grit and style.
- Submissions to festivals

About This Team
We’re a passionate crew of indie filmmakers and actors united by one goal: telling bold, meaningful stories. Let me introduce you to our crew! Some of them have some words for you!

Young, playing "Billie": "I'm a Muay Thai Fighter and athlete turned to action and acting. Currently starring in the feature film thriller "Ensnared", directed by Katarina Severen. Chrisse and I met during stunt training and hit it off right then and there, driven by the same passion of touching the subjects that matters on screen!"
Reno Schrock, playing "Lanksy": "Hey there, I'm Reno Schrock. Also, known as Lansky. I'm an actor from the southern Midwest. I have over ten years for training in Drama, Theater, Comedy and Improv. I have several Film/TV credits as well as national commercials among others. I am very excited and honored to be a part of PIGS with my friend and fellow alumni Chrisse. PIGS is sure to bring excitement and relatability for all who are fortunate enough to witness our film. Settle in, get comfortable, and enjoy the ride. I hope you are ready... I know I am!"
Robert Netherland, playing "Bugs": "Howdy! My name is Robert and I’m an actor portraying the role of Bugs in the production of PIGS. I’ve been acting since I was in high school a little over 10 years ago, started in theater and made my way to film. I can’t wait for y'all to see how this cast and I bring these characters to life. I hope y’all enjoy it as much we will!"
Wyatt Anderson, playing "Joey": "Howdy, my name is Wyatt Christopher Anderson, actor, writer and composer. I’ve been acting since 2019 and have dedicated a huge portion of my life to acting, storytelling and understanding humans. Acting was always a catharsis for me, a way to indulge in feelings I wouldn’t normally be permitted too. I look back on all I've accomplished: several handfuls of short films, features, and hours spent in classes. I’m always excited to work on projects with likeminded people chasing the same dream as I am, which is why I'm excited to bring all of my talents to PIGS!"

Daniela Pallares, producer: "Hi! I'm Daniela and I'm producer on PIGS. I'm a Colombian actress based in Los Angeles. I have been training for more than 3 years, and I have also been part of 3 short-films and one feature film. I'm very happy to be part of PIGS and help my friend Chrisse achieve her vision! Hope we can get all of you excited as well! Join our journey!! We are excited to have you on board!"
And that's not all:
Luisina Scepaccuercia is our trusted first AD! She is one of the first person I met when I first arrived in LA and started my training as an actress. She’s not only an incredible actress and mode, she’s a true powerhouse, going above and beyond to bring any project she believes into life.
Bohdan Borysov is our amazing DP. Every great story deserves to be told with unforgettable visuals and that's where Bohdan comes in! He has showed so much enthusiasm and deep understanding of the material once we got in contact. We’re beyond excited to have him shaping the look of this project, because we know his cinematography will not only capture the story, but it will also elevate it! Check out his reel!: Bohdan's reel
Citlalli Pineda is our wonderful Set Decorator and producer! With creativity and precision, she makes the chaos of our story come alive on screen. She may be new to set decoration, but her passion, dedication, and sharp eye bring a fearless freshness to the project. She’s all in, and it shows!

And then, there's me: Chrisse Soukaï, writer/director/actress, playing "Virginia". I started my journey as an actress in 2022, joining the Michelle Danner Acting School. I've worked as an extra and on set on a feature film, as a lead on various short-films and I've also starred in music videos (Shah Brielle, Diss Gacha...), and after some time, I decided it was time for me to write my own stories. I wrote PIGS with a vision, and I’m incredibly lucky to have found a team that not only believes in the project but truly understands the deeper meaning behind it and is just as passionate about bringing it to life on screen.

For some of us, this is our first time working on a short film, but we’re diving in with passion, determination, and a deep desire to learn. We’re here to gain experience, grow as artists, and most importantly, bring a powerful, meaningful story to life on screen.
