The Story

The Seedlings
"Plant Moms" is a webseries written by yours truly, Erin Bradford and Liv Amundsen.
Sparked from countless plant killings, an extreme rise in succulent popularity, and a quarter-life crisis, "Plant Moms" puts PLANTS and WOMEN at the center of it all.
The idea for our show came to Erin as a hypedancer during elementary school parties heavily featuring P.T.O. (Parent Teacher Organization - new gen PTA) moms and the evergrowing millennial obsession with succulents.
The first six episodes follow the women as each encounters challenges of balancing their personal lives, careers, and... motherhood.

Our Story
"Plant Moms" is a satire centered around Carly, an aspiring chef and her friend, Dani. Dani's obsessive need to take care of something results in her creation of the “Plant Moms of NY.” The series follows the unlikely cast of characters that make up the Plant Moms as they take on the trials and tribulations of being "first-time mothers."

Our Moms
We are creating roles for women BY women. We want to bring female stories into the spolight on our own terms.
Our team includes Erin Bradford as Head Writer and Co-Executive Producer, Liv Amundsen as Co-Writer and Co-Executive Producer, Avery Brunkus as Creative Director and Dana Iannuzzi as a Producer/Director.

Our Plan
With a full script for the first season, we are ready to recruit the rest of our team and start pre-production! Our plan is to begin production and filming in February and submit to festivals and distributors during the summer of 2020.
We only have 45 days to reach our goal!
We need to reach 80% of our goal to hit the “green light” and receive the funds. So anything that you can do will make a difference!

Pre-Production Needs
- Locations - We plan to shoot in multiple locations for this series. Though many of the locations will be donated to us, we will need money to rent spaces for a couple of big moments in the show.
- Food - This webseries will require two weeks worth of shooting, during which we need to feed our cast and crew. For these days, we will provide lunch and snacks throughout the day.
- Equipment - To make sure we do the series visual justice, we are raising most of this money to go to the equipment we use during production. Camera, Sound, Lights, etc.
- Transportation - During production, we will be moving people, equipment, and our trusty group of plants throughout the city.
- Set Design - Most of our plants will be donated by the amazing Beanstalk & Company. For items that cannot be acquired through donation, the funds raised here will help us round out the set design.
- Insurance - To film outside in New York, we will need Production Insurance.
