About The Project
We are raising money for our 2017 production slate under our newly formed company, Pneuma Pictures. After many years in film and stage, plus a recent experience in a 48 Hour Film Challenge, it dawned on us that we want to make more films centered on stories that inspire and challenge us both infront and behind the camera. With 3 festival films under our belt we are excited to embark on larger scale productions. "Good Man" is a short film centered on a family man struggling with grief in the wake of losing his husband and child. "Pool" is a comedic web series following 3 main characters as they navigate dating in NYC told through "Drunk History" style flashbacks.

Current Team
About This Team
Brandon Scott Hughes is prolific director and actor of both stage and film. He has produced 2 off-broadway productions at New World Stages in New York City. He is known for his humanistic television portrayal of Charles Whitman on A Crime to Remember in 2014. He also co-stars in a web series, ADULT-ish, currently in its third season. His directorial episode of ADULT-ish is an official selection of the Miami Web Fest 2016 this September. He will also be co-producing and starring in the web series POOL, currently in pre-production. His love of film started at a very early age, when he would make short vignettes with his neighborhood buds on his family's sony camcorder.
Mary Ashley recently worked alongside Michael Shannon and Judy Greer in the upcoming feature film, Pottersville, currently in post-production. She has also worked on Art Machine with Joseph Cross, Jessica Szohr, and Joey Lauren Adams. She recently edited and assisted directed on the short film Parallel. She created and co-wrote the web series POOL, currently in pre-production, which she will also be producing and co-starring. Her love of performing started at a very early age playing the lead in her school's production of Annie.
Chris Russell is an actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker. A born and bred New Yorker, he's mostly known for documenting his exploits working as a hotel doorman near Times Square. "Doorman" was an official selection of the 2013 New York Television Festival, and has received high-praise from The A.V. Club and The Daily Dot. For the pilot, Chris auditioned and cast the ever-talented Mary Ashley as an obnoxious tourist. He couldn't be more honored and proud to be working on this project and helping Mary to see her vision come to fruition. In addition to Doorman, Chris has starred in several independent films and web series, and most recently appeared in popular ongoing shows for Investigation Discovery, TruTV, and The Travel Channel. Chris has also written two feature-length screenplays, which have placed highly in several prestigious screenplay competitions and film festivals around the country. Let's Go Mets!
