When nothing can satisfy two teenage girls entrenched in social media, suffocated by their own deeply rooted issues, the girls will try anything to stave off the boredom. While hoping of an Instagram-worthy story, they adopt a cat and stumble upon something far less settling than extra calories.

Mission Statement

The film is a dark look at the boredom teen girls reside in, and what stupidity it inevitably leads them to. It is a tale of what they get into when the world’s indifference to them gives them too much time to be suffocated by the internet’s superficial obsession with public image.

The Story

PPBB is an acronym for the full title Pussy, Pussy, Bling, Bling. The title has more to it than a catchy rhythm, tho!

Nuri and Lena, two teenage girls whose relationship started from convenience and comfort, are the complete opposite of one another. Nuri suffers from body dysmorphia and bulimia, trying to fit into the Instagram culture of always looking like a "cool chic". Meanwhile, Lena doesn't care about her appearance and always seems confident with her demeanor. Lena has abandonment issues and deeply rooted social anxiety. She feeds off their relationship and has a hard time branching out.
PPBB takes a turn when the two girls decide to adopt a kitten. When they get home, Nuri's Armenian mother demands her to get rid of the cat. Left with no options, they decide to sell the cat. Little did they know what would be coming from the exchange, they rush over to give their kitten to a trusting smile.

The film will be shot in different styles since the plot gives us a lot of room to experiment. We hope to create a film that will be added to our slate, submit to film festivals and apply to fellowships!
