THE STORY
A wizard, banished from his home, finds himself on a mysterious island that hides dark secrets from the world.
Where do his powers come from?
What is the true reason he was banished from his home?
What happened all those years ago?
Will Prospero find what he's looking for, or will something else find him first?
PROSPERO is an 'Odd Fantasy', surrealist re-imagining of Shakespeare's character from his final play 'The Tempest'.
WHY THIS?
Prospero stands out as a very interesting character in all of Shakespeare's fiction.
He's something of an un-reliable narrator who we find at the end of his journey of magic.
Prospero's story is a reflection on the the dangers of hubris and ambition against a world that values negative examples of power more and more.
WHY US?
A small group of filmmakers and friends that value teamwork and taking care of each other. No egos or haughty spirits.
We're also very passionate about beautiful and strange story-telling through cinema.
This is what makes our globe spin. We're obsessed with making something interesting.
WHY NOW?
Every day we're reminded that people who seek power or revenge constantly make the world a worse place to live for everyone.
This centuries-old story has inspired our re-imagining of Prospero's tragic origin and the warning he gives about where to place true value.
We are a small team of independent filmmakers with decades of experience on narrative and commercial work.
Artists, craftspeople, helping hands.
All donations to making our film a reality will go directly to our cast and crew.
We plan to take our film Prospero to film festival circuits around the country.
We're very excited, because we think we have something really unique that will draw the right attention.

Hey, there!
I'm a Commercial and Creative Director from Northwest Arkansas.
I've lead film crews on projects from big to small.
I'm passionate about the importance of a good story. I'm usually telling someone else's, but I've had this idea for a narrative about Prospero the Wizard for sometime and he's finally made his way onto the page. I come from the world of stage theatre and Shakespeare has always felt like a fun playground.
My idea of an exceptional film is one that helps you experience something different.
A new idea, a new visual, a new perspective or feeling.
So we're setting out to make something truly imaginative and unique.
