Red Denim follows George, a distraught and awkward teen who lives with his fiery sister, Mel, in a dilapidated house in American suburbia. George and Mel are up to their necks in debt and are at risk of losing the only home that they've ever known. The two decide to go all in and rob the home of the wealthiest family in town. In an unexpected turn of events, they end up taking home more than just the loot and are in even deeper trouble, trouble that threatens their very freedom and lives. Join us on a journey packed with heart-pounding moments, stylish environments, and a story that pulls no punches!

Our crew has spent the last four years developing our skills both on set and in studios. This film is our senior thesis and will be a culmination of everything we've learned thus far. But honestly, this is more than just a "senior thesis" to us. We don't see Red Demin as a way to "get our foot in the door," we see it as a way to kick it down. As a team, we are wildly determined to create a film that is overflowing with style along with presenting a tension-filled narrative that simply just kicks ass and leaves rooms stunned.
We also want to make this as inclusive of an experience we can! Is there anything worse than watching a movie with your friends and they all take out their phones? Red Denim plans to alleviate that problem by providing an edge-of-your-seat experience from start to finish. Our crew believes that good art "bites" and we will be working tirelessly to provide that sensation through poster-worthy cinematography, powerful sound design, and seamless editing. We're excited to get YOU excited about Red Denim!

The style of Red Denim is a culmination of films that have inspired and imprinted on the crew. Films like Fight Club and A Clockwork Orange with their dark overarching themes and light hits of comedy, and Drive's in-your-face style mixed with surrealist lowlight cinematography are a few of the inspirations we have. Cowboy Bebop's foot-tapping jazz score is the first thing that popped in our heads when devising our soundtrack We plan to build upon the creative foundations set by these projects as well as many others.

Through your generous contributions, we will be able to bring our vision to life! We need to raise our goal of $16,000 in order to get all necessities for our film. A big part of making Red Denim is being able to create the world our characters live in. This means being able to get the perfect locations, stunning props, and set design, as well as an impressive wardrobe. We also need to make sure we can pay our talented actors, transport/lodge any cast and crew, and feed everyone on and off set. Your donations will also go towards camera, editing, and sound equipment. We'll be able to make sure our story looks and sounds the best it can be. You will also help with film festival submission fees and all COVID safety equipment. Your generosity will make Red Denim a reality!

COVID-19 has had an immense impact on the film industry. For over a year, the pandemic has shut down productions all over the world. Now that we are able to shoot again, we are still making sure to adhere to all safety guidelines and take all precautions to make this production as safe as possible. We have made the necessary room in our budget in order to purchase all essential protective equipment to keep everyone on set safe and healthy. We are also mandating vaccinations for all cast and crew, and everyone will wear masks (unless on camera) during production.

Thank you so much for your support! We cannot even begin to tell you how much it means to us. Without you, this wouldn't be possible. We are extremely passionate about our film and your pledges will help make Red Denim come to life. There is so much for this story to tell and we hope that you will enjoy it as much as we already have. Thank you for believing in our team!
