The Story
Our short film presents itself as any ordinary behind-the-scenes video you may see in the “bonus features” of your favorite movie, with the cast and crew discussing how excited they are about the movie Ringer. But as the video continues, a darker story is revealed to be at play.
The Characters

Our Goal
Our film aims to use an experimental storytelling device that is not as commonly seen in the film medium as a means of further enhancing the story, characters, and themes of the project, rather than using it like a gimmick.
For years, I have dreamed of a film that could use fourth-wall-breaking elements in the same way as video games such as Eternal Darkness, Doki-Doki Literature Club, or Undertale do. It’s been an idea on my mind for years, and now I will show a piece of my vision to the rest of the world in a way that’s engaging and impactful.
This film breaks the fourth wall in unique ways that puts the characters in dangerous and terrifying situations, while also creating a sense of fear and paranoia for the audience, in a way that also makes them a character within the film themselves. To further this, our film will utilize improv as a means of making the characters feel alive and real, with believable dialogue that makes these characters truly feel like they are coming alive.

Production Timeline
Our goal is to start the Campaign in February and then, after closing it in March, begin filming on April 2nd, conclude on April 3rd, and then work on Post-Production throughout May.
Budget
Our Budget covers costs for Locations, including both the Bug Theater and a separate set for faux interviews, as well camera equipment, food and catering for our cast and crew, travel fees, and costuming for December, Sophie, and Craig.
