This is the story of Reece, who struggles against himself to accept help and learns what it really means to be alone. Everyone grieves differently but how we approach that grief matters. Asking for help doesn’t make you a burden, it doesn’t make you weak. We all need someone to carry us through.

Mission Statement

As a company, our mission is to give artists opportunities they wouldn’t receive from bigger companies. With this project, we want to highlight the impact loneliness and grief can have on someone. Reach out to those around you and lend them support. Ask for help when you need it. It’s never too late

The Story

ABOUT THE FILM

Road Map is a feature-length dramedy about friendship, grief, heartbreak, and the courage to keep moving forward.

Grief doesn’t always look like sadness. Sometimes it looks like isolation. Sometimes it looks like anger. Sometimes it looks like being stuck. Road Map is a story about finding a way forward.

After a devastating breakup leaves him isolated and disconnected from the life he once loved, Reece is pulled onto an unexpected road trip by his lifelong friend Eric. Along the way, they’re joined by an old friend and a mysterious traveler who changes the course of their journey. As they cross the country together, each of them must confront the grief, fear, and uncertainty they’ve been carrying for years.

Everyone experiences grief. Sometimes it’s the loss of a loved one. Sometimes it’s the end of a relationship. Sometimes it’s the loss of a dream, a future, or even the person you used to be. We wanted to tell a story about what happens after loss. About the people who help us heal, the places that change us, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward. At its heart, Road Map is a story about choosing connection when isolation feels easier.

WHY THIS STORY MATTERS

In a world where loneliness and disconnection are increasingly common, Road Map explores something deeply human:

The importance of friendship.

The importance of adventure.

The importance of choosing life.

The Blob serves as a physical manifestation of grief, depression, fear, and stagnation—the voice that tells us to stay home, give up, and stop growing.

Our characters must decide whether they will continue carrying that weight or move forward despite it.

We believe many people will see themselves somewhere in this journey.

WHY WE’RE MAKING THIS FILM

We created Road Map because we’ve experienced many of the same struggles faced by our characters.

Like Reece and Eric, we’ve experienced grief, heartbreak, uncertainty, and the feeling of standing at a crossroads wondering what comes next.

This project is our reminder that growth happens when we step outside our comfort zones, lean on the people we love, and continue moving forward even when the road ahead is unclear.

Sri Kanduri and David Zarish are Film makers with a dream to bring opportunities to every artist who strives for something bigger. Both from a theatre background, we wanted to dive into the film world and gain some new experience.
