The Story
Romance Analyst is a comedy about a platonic love triangle between a woman, her best friend, and her therapist. All taking place in New York City!
The Campaign
Our first movie, A Sibling Mystery screened at 11 film festivals and will be distributed online this year!
They say it can be even harder and take even longer to make your second feature than it did to make your first, especially for female filmmakers, so with your help, that doesn't have to be the case! We want to build our followers through this crowd funding endeavour, in order to have a lifelong, career sustaining audience! If you liked our first feature, A Sibling Mystery, then you will continute to love our work!

About This Team
Rachel Wortell (Writer/Director/Producer) is a filmmaker based in New York. Her first feature film, A Sibling Mystery, is a comedy about a brother and sister who become consumed with investigating a mysterious woman they suspect has stolen their winning lottery ticket, endangering their summer party plans. She is the co-writer, co-director, and co-producer of this film, which had it’s World Premiere at the 2017 Vail Film Festival. Her film has gone on to screen at numerous festivals including the 40th Mill Valley Film Festival, as well as being 1 of 6 in narrative competition at the 2017 Portland Film Festival. She is a member of Film Fatales, a collective of women directors that support and mentor each other. Her production company is called Sibling Features.
Lily Meyer (Lead Actress/Producer/Production Designer) was the Lead Actress and Consulting Producer for A Sibling Mystery, and a frequent collaborator with Rachel. For this project, along with acting and producing, she will also be taking on the role of Production Designer. Lily has a background in photography and fashion. She also works as a Freelance Photo Art Director..
David Maximé (Lead Actor/Lead Producer) is a producer, cinematographer, editor, and musician. He was the Co-Executive Producer for all video content for Open Mike Eagle's 2017 album Brick Body Kids Still Daydream. He has worked as a producer for MTV, TLC, A&E, and Discovery Channel.
Dan Erickson (Producer) is a filmmaker based in New York City. His first feature film "A Sibling Mystery," which he wrote, directed, and produced with Rachel Wortell, premiered at the 2017 Vail Film Festival. Dan got his start in post production, where he worked on the Sofia Coppola movie "Somewhere." He has edited for "Blue Bloods" on CBS, "The Chris Gethard Show" on Fusion, and the Upright Citizens Brigade's video teams.
AJ Strauman (Cinematographer) is a narrative, commercial and documentary cinematographer working in New York City and abroad. She is a proud member of the ICG: Local 600. She has a great passion for the work that she does, and the images she creates. She adapts her distinct cinematic voice to the tone and style of each project to bring the vision to life. Her extensive preparation and on-set dedication to each project produces compelling cinematic content that exceeds expectations.
Kathryn Gould Wortell (Art Director) was the Production Desiger on A Sibling Mystery. She also happens to be Rachel's amazing and supportive mom! She is a collector and seller of antiques, with a flare for glamours vintage pieces. Her keen eye make the sets she designs for film extremely realistic, but with a heightened sense of style.
Alex Silva (Costume Designer) is a creative. She spends most of her time working as a freelance still life stylist, specializing in soft good, accessories and cosmetics. When Alex is not on set she's either knitting, sewing or in the kitchen creating nutritious and delicious vegan means from her home in Brooklyn. Alex has also worked as a costumer and tailor for film and spends the rest of her free time experiencing art, music, and film while thinking of her next project.
Kenneth Casey Swoyer (Editor) is a video editor living in Brooklyn, New York. His work has screened on surfaces of all sizes from your smartphone to the silver-screen. He got his start in post production at age 16 when he gave up his idyllic youthful summer in exchange for an internship at a post house in Chicago. His most recent project was cutting the first season of MoMA’s acclaimed web series At The Museum. www.thedumbestdog.com
