Since completing the shoot, we’ve engaged the talents of editor Tucker Marlof, one of the editors of The Tick on Amazon Prime to cut the picture. Tucker completed an editors cut and a directors cut.

Editor Tucker Marolf.

A test screening was held on November 3rd at the University of Texas at Austin facility in Burbank, California who donated their space for the occasion.

The feedback we received from the test audience proved to be very important and will help us with the final edit as we fine tune it for release in 2018.

We are nearly ready to hand the movie over to our super-talented Sound Designer and mixer Jeffery Alan Jones. Jeff is a composer as well as an in-demand Sound Designer in Hollywood. Check out Jeff's amazing background at his website.

Sound Designer Jeffrey Alan Jones.

We also plan to hire veteran music producer Greg Prestepino and composer Craig Safan who has innumerable credits over a lengthy career in the business. Check out Craig's awesome website.

A visual effect company will be hired to help us achieve the crucial few VFX shots we need to complete the film. We don’t want to give too much away about what this entails right now as it’s all part of movie magic and we know you’ll love it!

The final process along with the sound mix is to dial in the finished look of the film with an online Colorist and Editor. This process sweetens the look of the film and produces a finish that matches the director’s vision perfectly. A great Colorist is worth their weight in gold and we believe we have found one in the person of Peter Swartz (check his website).

Additionally the actors may be brought in to record additional dialogue or voice over in the studio and someone has to coordinate and oversee all of these post-production tasks to make sure they come in on time and on budget.

All of these talented post production crew members are WORKING PROFESSIONALS and though they all believe in the project and are eager to work with us, THEIR SERVICES ARE NOT FREE. By becoming a contributor and joining us to reach our post-production goal, we’ll be able to compensate these people based on the discounted rates they’ve offered us and get the film “in the can” - with a high degree of professionalism and polish.

2018 is going to be a great year for Rose is a Rose is a Rose! We'll be entering multiple film festivals and getting this heartfelt story out to the world. Please join us and be part of our team!
