Mission Statement

As modern rhetoric echoes the 1980s witch hunts, it is clear we are living in a new SATANIC PANIC. In tense political climates, fear is weaponized to control us, and fingers are pointed to distract us. This isn’t just a slasher. It's a warning from our past. A call to action for our future.

The Story

Why This Film? Why Now?

In 2026, the moral and societal class divide of the 1980s has returned with a vengeance. We see it in the legislative targeting of marginalized groups, the rise of modern conspiracy cults, and the weaponization of "traditional values" to justify state-sanctioned control. The idea of weaponizing freedom to get away with whatever you want is not a new ideal; it is a vicious cycle that returns time and time again until we can finally lay the beast to rest.

Story: A Ritual of Scapegoating

SATANIC PANIC! takes you back to 1987—big hair, the dawn of the "New Right," and the birth of a modern witch hunt.

When a lifelong group of friends retreat to a secluded cabin in the woods for a weekend of (expected) celebrations, they find themselves trapped in the crosshairs of the enigmatic and terrifying sins of their past. The friends must face a series of ritualistic "atonements" that blur the line between religious fervor and cold-blooded murder...or die trying.

Our film isn't just a period piece; it’s a mirror.

We are using the high-octane language of the slasher genre to ask a vital question: Who defines what is "evil," and what happens when they use that definition to erase you?

Horror has always been a "pressure valve" for societal anxiety.

By supporting this project, you are helping us create a film that challenges systemic control by exposing how "moral outrages" are often manufactured to maintain power, empowers vulnerability by focusing on psychological terror and the strength found in collective survival, and preserves indie spirit by making a movie for the fans, by the fans, without the sanitized interference of major studios. By backing this project, you are investing in a team of filmmakers with the creativity and discipline to turn an extremely low-budget film into the cinematic event of the year.

Why $5,000?

I firmly believe filmmaking should be accessible to people from all backgrounds. With this money, I can pay each and every person who dedicated countless hours to this production, as well as cover travel, lodging, and dining expenses. I am 100% committed to putting every penny I earn into this movie, and want as many people to be a part of the process as possible!

MEDIA CONGLOMERATES vs INDEPENDENT ARTISTS

Now more than ever, especially with recent legislation, there have been so many media mergers that one could claim independent media is now needed more than ever before.

Help support independent voices.
