The Story

Help Us Bring Our Passion Project to Life!

Hello, I'm Rebekka, the blonde girl with my two fellow actors. I am a union actor from Germany living in LA. I love Science Fiction, and going to Space to explore other worlds, is something I have always dreamed of. As an actor you play many roles, but portraying an astronaut, I have never done before. I came close to be cast in one of my dream roles, but close wasn't good enough. That I would need a sci-fi scene for my acting reel and as a proof of concept for something bigger, have been on my bucket list. However, as I believe that reaching goals is only possible in a team, I wanted to create opportunities for a team of creatives.

And we all met in a renown film museum in Los Angeles, where I have been working for over three years on my weekends.

Together, we've produced five acting scenes, including a Sci-fi scene, using my personal savings. We've invested a total of $9,000 and have completed four scenes: a comedy, a drama, a neo-noir, and a western. However, the final scene, which is the most crucial for us, needs some finishing touches.

We're eager to implement a Zero-Gravity-Effect in our 5 min Sci-fi acting scene 'Hellas Planitia.' We envision objects flying off the table and enhancing the action sequences as aliens and astronauts move through the spaceship.

Why Your Support Matters

As the film industry slowly recovers, we're facing reduced bookings and scarce job opportunities. It's essential for us to have up-to-date promotional materials to showcase our work and attract new opportunities.

Our Goal

We're seeking $600 to cover the costs of the Zero-Gravity-Effect. This amount would allow us to complete the final scene and make our project a reality.

Stretch Goals

If we could raise an additional $400, I could rent a small screening venue for two hours, allowing my team to enjoy our scenes as an anthology on the big screen. We could also host a small reception with food and drinks.

A further $400 would enable me to produce 100 movie posters for the team, family, and friends.

Any Contribution Counts!

I'd be incredibly grateful for any support you can offer. Your contribution will help us showcase our work, promote creativity, and advance our careers. Thank you for considering our project!

Plot of 'Hellas Planitia'

Three leading scientists are on their way to Mars in 2054. Their mission is to terraform the Red Planet. Five devices, called FG-023, have been installed and need to be activated. Earth is running out of time, as pollution and resources are becoming exhausted. Space is a rough place, an unregulated territory with a mix of people native to the moon colony and species from other planets. When the scientists arrive at the Hellas Planitia territory on Mars, they make a discovery that threatens the entire mission. One of them is a hybrid of an ancient alien race that went into hiding thousands of years ago. As this alien civilization slowly activates, the continued existence of humankind is at stake.

The Scene

In the scene, we'll see the astronauts and their spaceship being hijacked by aliens on their way to Mars. The scene will serve as an acting scene and as a proof of concept. The scene will be about 5 min long.
