The Story
See You When You Get Home, is a raunchy, emotional, coming-of-age road trip comedy about five friends on the verge of adulthood and the secrets that WILL change everything.
It’s the summer after graduation. Cameron, Sam, Michael, Isabel, and London pile into a RV for one last road trip to drop each other off at college. It’s supposed to be simple. One final memory before they all go their separate ways. But the road has other plans.
Cameron didn’t actually get into college AND he’s been hiding the fact that he’s in love with Isabel.
Sam, Isabel's boyfriend, has been completely in love with Cameron for years.
Michael and London are going to the same school, and they’re really should be dating already.
And Isabel, the glue holding the group together, finds herself caught between people who love her in ways she never expected.
Above all else, they're all terrified to Grow Up.
What starts as a party-on-wheels becomes something more raw—a story about identity, friendship, heartbreak, and growing up all at once.

Everyone’s hiding something. Whether it's a secret they’re not ready to share or a version of themselves they’re not ready to confront. This story unpacks what happens when the truth comes out and how it can change everything.

Not the neat, cinematic kind. The messy kind. The kind that sneaks up on you. Between friends, in silences, and in all the things that are left unsaid. This is a story about love that doesn’t always work out in a fairytale way.

They’re all searching for it—through each other, through college, and through escape. But when the road trip ends and the future gets real, the question hits:
How do you hold on to who you are—and who you were?
Why We’re Making This
We grew up watching movies like Superbad and Dazed and Confused. They made us laugh. They made us dream. But they didn’t always reflect what we were feeling — the anxiety, the identity shifts, and the moments that felt quiet but cut the deepest.
See You When You Get Home is our answer to that. It’s a movie about the things we don’t always say out loud. The friendships that feel like family. The
love that catches you off guard. The kind of goodbye that doesn’t feel real until
it’s already happened.
This is a film made by friends, about friends, for anyone who’s ever been afraid of what comes next.

About This Team
Hey, we're Jackson Carpinello and Mathew Garbacz, the co-founders of Drive-Thru Productions and the co-directors behind See You When You Get Home. We’re longtime friends, collaborators, and students making the kind of movie we’ve always wanted to see — messy, emotional, weirdly funny, personal, and painfully honest.
Every single person we’ve brought onto this project is someone we not only know and trust, but have worked with before, whether they are classmates, friends, or just fellow creatives we have been in the trenches with them on past films, on stage productions, and 3 a.m. writing sessions. This is a team built on real relationships, mutual respect, and a shared belief in telling stories that matter.
We’re proud to say our set will be filled with real friends with genuine chemistry... because we know that energy shows up on screen! When we say this is a passion project, we mean it. We’re not a studio and we don't have millions of dollars. We are making this movie purely because we love to create and truly believe this movie will hit a spot that audiences have missed for a long time.

The Story
