Settling Up is a web series about best friends - and opposites - Alex and Darcy. Almost two decades ago, they were college roommates. A divorce, a dissertation, and loads of debt later, they find themselves roommates again. They'll make it after all - if they can keep from throttling each other.

About The Project
"If she can see it, she can be it" is a wonderful phrase that I see more and more in reference to media for young girls. But what about their mothers? Aunts? Teachers? What depictions do we have of women in their late-30s? The media landscape for single women past their early 20s is pretty bleak. For the most part, you have your cougars, your background, your plot devices, your scolds, and your comic relief - with the comedy typically focused on the woman's desperate need to be married. The women I see in media rarely reflect the women I know. Even more rare in popular entertainment are discussions of topics that are important in my life and in the lives of my friends - money, fertility, body image, etc. Rarer still is hearing two female characters have those discussions.Settling Up aims to change that.Settling Up's mission is to expand roles for women on both sides of the camera and to foment fiscal literacy and health for its audience. Settling Up offers characters and stories that better reflect the reality of the world in which real, smart, urban women live. A world with women who are educated and funny, strong and imperfect, weak and savvy, struggling and successful. All at the same time.By telling stories about complex women, Settling Up aims to foster dialog, open doors, and enable self-discovery and self-actualization - in essence, nothing short of starting a movement. It's time to Settle Up.Incentives
